Happy and Enjoyable Workplace
Waitress and Bar Staff - part time. (Current Employee) – Euxton – 13 July 2016
The job includes bar work, waitressing and receptionist work. The Railway has helped me to develop my confidence, to learn how to professionally deal with customers in different circumstances and encouraged me to give innovative ideas with creative ways to help run the business successfully. It has also required me to deal with opening the business up and being in charge of the restaurant/front of house, as well as be responsible for supervising other team members within the workplace, when the manager has been absent. I have also been trained, and left reliable, to look after the flow of cash coming in and out of the restaurant during my shifts. During this job, I constantly practice teamwork skills with my colleagues, to ensure the business runs smoothly and deals with any problems or different circumstances efficiently and correctly, keeping good communication skills throughout. The management at the railway is very good, informal and comfortable, which i really like. Co-workers are efficient and helpful when working as a team. The hardest part of the job is if there isn't enough staff on shift, compared to the amount of customers. The most enjoyable part of the job is how welcomed you feel in the business and how you can feel like you're all part of the family.
