Working with the young people is highly rewarding
However ...after 6 years I was burnt out ..unsupported ...verbally abused at times..and out down in front of other staff and often in team meetings .. .this had a huge effect on my confidence and mental health and I had to leave. Please please do not go into this role lightly as the staff can be as challenging if not more challenging than the young people and I was often in floods of tears after gruelling 15 hour shifts.
The money was good and the qualifications brilliant as well as the training however ...but please don't suffer in silence with the rest of it like I did for all of those years.
I loved working for priory for the first year but it just went down hill the staff were not treat right they had clicks in the place who Madeothers feel uncomfortable for me that's bullying you were made to do extra hours our you were told your failing the service users were no treated respectfully and always look down at you if you have s problem then your a negative person but if your up the managers --- then you go along way reporting people to make them look good how is this team work it's against people and the managers should actually try a shift but then again that's what we get paid to do if you get your correct pay and having to use the annual leave if you don't have your hours that week but people have overtime how's that work there no appreciation from anyone we can all do paper work too many people just think there untouchable and it's always the lazy ones. Who come out smelling of roses
