I work in the Gloucestershire Branch and I remember the interview as being very thorough. The lady who interviewed me used to be the Branch Manager. She talked me through what I could expect things to be like working for Prestige. I felt comfortable in the interview and we talked about what work I had done in the past. Once through the recruitment process I was able to start work straight away. I already had quite a bit of care experience but have been given so many more opportunities through working with Prestige. I could work anyway really. They have so much work available. Complex Care clients are the clients I enjoy working with the most.

How does someone get hired at Prestige Nursing + Care? What are the steps along the way?
You will need to call your local branch for further information. They will email you out an application form and book you in for an interview. Your local branch will be able to confirm with you what you need to bring to your interview. This will also be listed in a letter confirming the interview booking. You will need ID, 2 proofs of address and a copy of NI number. You will need to make sure that you can also provide 2 references. You will need to apply for a DBS if not signed up to the DBS online service. You will not necessarily need care experience as the company offer a really good intro to care scheme. The branch will book you into three days classroom training at your local branch. This will cover such things as Moving and Handling, Emergency Procedures, Medication, Care of the Dying and Dignity in Care. You will also have some e-learning modules to complete. The e-learning's can be done on the members website. Once everything has been completed the Branch Recruitment Team will complete an induction with you. The Branch team are always available to answer any questions you may have. They will keep in touch with you on a regular basis to let you know how your application is going. When you are ready to start they will discuss with you about you availability for work. They will let you know what work is available and get you started. One of the many positive things about working for Prestige is that you have a choice of when and where you work. It is very flexible. You will get to meet existing members of staff on the training days and they will be able to tell you what it is like working for Prestige. The Branch Recruitment Team also attend lots of Job Fairs and have close links with the Job Centres. You will be able to get information from these on what it is like to work for Prestige and what work is available. They cover all aspects of care including working with the Elderly, Physical and Learning Disabilities, Children, Complex Care Clients, Hospitals, Specialist NHS units. Everything you can think of really. It is definitely worth joining Prestige Nursing and Care for a career in care.

The working hours are great. I work in the Gloucestershire branch are they are always checking that I have the hours that I want. Basically you are able to work when you want and where you want. It is flexible and I have a good income from what I do. The clients are great. The office team are very supportive and professional.
