Nights Receptionist (Current Employee) – Liverpool Albert Dock – 1 March 2018
The benefits for working at the Premier Inn are great. Management doesn't really understand the effects of mental health vary from person to person and don't really show any sympathy when you have an episode. Its the type of job where you either love it or hate it. I started to like it, until the management changed that and now, I am unhappy working there. Everyone is different, so, don't take my word for it. It's up to you to make up your own mind about it.
Housekeeper (Former Employee) – Liverpool, Merseyside – 21 July 2018
My typical day at work was waking up and going into work for a few hours and I cleaned up for people to come and have an enjoyable stay in the premier inn I also faced new challenges and also cleaned up to the hotels best ability I loved working in the premier inn I meet new people and learned how to communicate with new people
Hotel Receptionist (Former Employee) – Liverpool – 28 March 2018
I can't speak any higher of the staff, from housekeeping to management everyone shared the common goal of making the hotel the best it could be. The salary was excellent and the work felt meaningful and provided the chance to interact with guests in a friendly and gratifying way.
High Salary, Abundance of Shifts, Opportunity to work at other branches.
Kitchen team member (Former Employee) – Liverpool albert dock – 24 September 2017
The team i worked with are the only reason i stayed for nearly a year because we were like a family other than that everything else was very poor from management... now i am look for a challenge... around public in a customer facing role!
Terrible management, they hired staff who werent capable of there job role and left after a couple of weeks
managers are disrespectful rude to guests and lazy
Grill Chef (Former Employee) – Liverpool moorefeilds – 21 March 2017
Horrible place to work staff are rude to guest managers are lazy aggressive and unaproachable.bullying of staff takes places on a daily basis and very uncomfortable place to work.Would advise anyone not to work or even stay here as 're labelling of food takes places daily and pests are left to roam the building.
Host (Current Employee) – Liverpool, Merseyside – 27 November 2016
I enjoy working at the premier inn, it's a great place if you want to work your way up. I'd worked there a year before I was promoted and in that time they sent me on a course to get an nvq in hospitality where I had to re do my maths and English.
House keeping (Former Employee) – Liverpool – 14 April 2016
Not a bad job under the right management. Majority of management working there seem to make up the rules as they go along. Look in the wrong direction and all of a sudden your job is on the line and if you go off sick you may find your self suspended. Happens too often for it to be a coincidence! Hard work but once you start going you get used to it. Time wise you never end up with finishing the times they say because they always give you too much to do in one day, you will always go over your suspected hours & can't leave til all rooms are done. They will Mess with your rota the night before a shift and change days without telling you or consulting you first.
Housekeeping (Former Employee) – Liverpool – 3 January 2013
I worked for premier inn in for 1 year, the pay is poor, and the management are untrained at EVERY site... if you want to be treated like a child and pulled in for a disiplinary every other week for nothing then work for them! The housekeeping dept is a joke, at the end of your day your fit for nothing, back breaking work!.... DO NOT WORK FOR THEM!....
