The job is challenging however you are given the support needed by your head of ops and any personal or business issues you encounter they are there to help. The job it’s self can be very rewarding and meeting new and old faces on a daily basis brings the job to a whole new level of interaction
Having worked for them for 14-15 years I have found them to be a fairly decent company .Pay is always accurate and on time and they will get you as much work as they can.

Like any company that doesn’t off your a set number or hours a week. No contracted hours a week were ever available and the only regular work I got from them was a door position which had minimal hours when security is my profession.

Good area manager
Do as required for the venue and no problems with pay.
HR department always quick response regarding any issues or problems.

Been working only three weeks for Phoenix. Wages keep making excuses about my if so they don’t pay you your money. I left as I realised what a bunch of clowns are in charged. Would not recommended to anyone looking for long term DS job. I went to Professional security great firm, no problem with wages always in my account on Monday.
if you want to be moved from club to club or be a taxi marshal then go for it stay away from this company they dont have the clubs they once had in middlesbrough if you want this type of work go for a company called profesinal security
Been working only few shifts for Phoenix back in 2016. Area manager was a joke... Keep telling you lies to not pay you your money... I left as soon as realized what a bunch of clowns are in charge of my area. Not recommended to anyone looking for long term DS job.
it was a good part time job , if you show commitment and thirst to learn you will get good shifts and secure and good location i the long run looking back they took a chance on me and i am grateful .

As a new member of door staff at Phoenix Security, I don't have a great wealth of experience to draw from but from what I have seen so far the is that the other door staff are very friendly, the management lead by example
Phoenix are one of the best companies to work for. They hire brilliant staff that work well as a team and lone working, great venues and the management are brilliant. Extra shifts are always available if you want extra work.
Paying wages always wrong, had to keep casing it up with payroll. They promised to sort it out, but still got it wrong. Confusing payslips so you never know which shifts they've paid you. They basically stole money away from staff.

I worked for phoenix security for a couple of months and can honestly say in all that time i never recieved a wage slip, never recieved a copy of my contract and the wages were different every week despite doing the same number of hours - i was dismissed without being given a reason - i simply stopped recieving rotas - unprofessionaly sent via whatsapp
I have been working with Phoenix Security for almost 4 years now, had no issues with the management nor the working hours. Everything is smooth when it comes to contact your line manager . Helpful team if you need letters or any documents simple phone call to head office with in 2 to 3 working days you will have your requested documents.
Area managers don’t have the first clue as to what they are doing and you will never be at the same door for long as they love to change things all the time.
Great company to work for and start with a good staff member helping you out and always had my back covered in any venue I worked in and I always had my colleague back in return

Phoenix Security at times are a great company to work for. The guys on the ground are a wonderful bunch of people, but are all too often let down by the management, Supervisors and general lack of concern for the well being of their employees.
The management tend to be very disorganised at times, relying on crisis management constantly and as a result personnel are not sure what time of day it is, never mind where and when they are working.
The pay is always wrong and worth checking up on every month as hours are missed regularly and go unpaid, so keep a record of the hours worked and when.
