Our operational staff work various shift patterns which include mornings, days, evenings, nights and weekends. Each shift is 8 to 10 hours long and Perthyn issue rotas up to 4 weeks in advance.

Our office staff work between the hours of 8am to 6pm, 38 hours a week if full time. They are able to choose the hours they would like to work (outside of core hours) and can build up/take flexi time.

Depends on the service, activities, appointments, I can work anything between 5hrs and 14 hrs, which is absolutely fine with me, Id prefer longer shifts, gives a bit more consistency, no swapping and changing staff all day, no rushing to get back from supporting an individual just because I've got to finish shift, the longer the days, can give an extra day off...which benefits the company as if the scheme needs cover...I don't mind, nor the others to go in, still getting 2 days off a week, happy with that,

I feel quite proud to tell people, I am loyal and happy to promote Perthyn, having been with them for around 10 yrs...I've seen changes, however all in the best interest of all the individuals we support.

I'm really happy with my entitlement, new starters start on approx 6 weeks, then it increases yearly depending on length of service, the company do request we all book in advance, I understand as they need to organise hundreds of staff over the region's, ensuring we have staff cover, safe levels, that it's fair, we do get the chance to change it if needed, again it's looking at how many staff are already off, some of the staff will happily change theirs too help other, I think it's a good organised, system to have. It ensures no one has taken too much or not enough within the year,

If I was in charge, I'd be looking at ways to lessen the pressure and workload off managers, giving them more of a Monday to Friday, Office Based Routine, yes, it's important they work a regular hands on shift, a consistent shift, but not filling in the gaps,
