A wide variety of work in the lab and frequently rotation allows for job satisfaction and not mundane. Great, friendly team with an array of personalities. Site is growing and a lot is being invested to adapt to the growing demand in products.
Phasing out of canteen facilities
A fairly large laboratory for this area of the country, with a diverse and knowledgeable workforce. The company made most employees feel quite well valued and the staff within the laboratory were helpful and worked very collaboratively whenever they could. The money started off low but progress quite quickly and once on permanent double day shift, with the addition of a bit of overtime it was actually very well paid. There was plenty of encouragement and help to develop. There was the odd tension between colleagues as is almost always the case, but it was dealt with fairly and swiftly. I would recommend working here, it was brilliant as a first job out of my degree and I honestly would like to have stayed longer to see how things developed working there. Unfortunately for me, my family were down in South Devon so I had to leave for a job closer to home.
Having worked in retail for 15 years, and working at Pall for a year, at my age at 40, this is the most nicest place I've ever worked in. What I mean by that is that everyone is just so nice. It's never serious, people are always having banter, especially the guys on shift A. All the women are lovely and helpful. I even got offered a promotion in only 6 weeks of being there. Only downside is the wages, which is £310 take home a week. But there's always overtime available, if you get selected.

Do these reviews help you learn more about working at Perrigo?
Overall my time at perrigo was not the best. Some of the staff are lovely and helpful but some the complete opposite. Bullying and lies on a daily basis. You are never secure until you are made permanent which can take months even years... senior operators think they’re better than the operators and packers. Breaks are unpaid. You have to be there early to change into protective clothing which is unpaid. Management are not understanding at all! Don’t care about any health issues including mental health. If you have family working here don’t bother you cannot be seen together including walking down the corridor after a break especially couples! Only positive thing I can say is it pays well especially if you’re under 21 you will still get £9.40. You get meals cooked on site which change daily but you do have to pay. The hours are great they change from morning to lates weekly. It isn’t the easiest job but you learn.
Good pay, on site cooked meals
Unkind staff, unpaid breaks, bullying
Noisy and dusty environment to work in but people are nice. Can be a bit boring as the job is quite repetative. Once trained it's nt a difficult job and you once you leave work you don't have to think about it.Hours and wages are reasonable. Overtime is usually available
Don't have to think about work once you leave at the end of the day
Plenty of opportunities, freindly people, good pay , This is a very nice place to work, good parking good security. I have worked at this company for 5 years now and I have learnt alot and I have been given plenty of opportunities.
I was a Night Shift Maintenance Engineer at Perrigo. If you are a real maintenance engineer this role is not for you,but if you are a car mechanic the job is yours. If you are on days you might have worked with qualified engineers but not on nights. This job should have been called setter operator
You have some good operators working there
Health and safety nightmare, accident waiting to happen
Difficult work, High Amounts of stress, My personal experience unfortunately was of bad attitudes and bad management. Most co-workers were lovely, unfortunately the minority made it impossible to get on with the simplest of tasks. Bullying and lies were a problem I dealt with on a day to day basis. The aspect of the job I did like was how satisfying it was to fully complete a days work.
Good Living Wage.
Long Hours, Bad Staff Morale.
