It seems like it could be a fun place to work if the team are good, unfortunately that wasn’t the case for me. I had a manager that was horrible to the whole team, making everyone less likely to work properly. The shop itself was a fun loving shop, but my experience has stopped me buying from there all together. Luckily I was only a temp. The shop was chaos most of the time, not thought out plans and tasks for everyone

Good landing place, quite strong interest on people development at the very beginning, progressively fading up while time passing. At some point has been necessary to explore other options.

Great place to work whilst you learning the ropes. Very creative and fun, however once you gain some experiance no one looks after you and manages your progress which is the biggest downfall o th company.

good company to work with, fairly easy to progress, but becomes stale and boring as there is not really any challenges except when staff call in sick and you need cover, but its easy to sort

A very fun and friendly place to work and was always a busy place as it was in the middle of London City.

A typical day would be where you are rushed off your feet due to customers coming in and out.

Team were great fun to work with and always easy going.

Love my job, but the salary is poor. No incentive for length of service. Bonus scheme is poor and unacheivable by majority. I would recommend but not based on pay alone.
Pros
Team and store environment. Discount fantastic.
Cons
Poor pay. Lots of work to do!

Paperchase really cares about what the employees think and take all feedback in to consideration and then act upon it.
Everyone is individual but we are all one big family, even if you call another store or Head Office everyone is so helpful and kind. One of the best work places i have ever worked in

Really established brand, great management to work with. Always expanding in different areas to keep business ahead of the game. Still has maintained small company feel with over 150 stores.

Established stationery business in the heart of London with a focus on producing products that are inspired by fashion trends.
Working in a fast paced in-house design team, having to be both proactive and reactive according to the demands of the buying, visual merchandising and marketing departments.

Trying not to over commit are some of the challenges faced by the business as there are too many exciting opportunities and collaborations to walk away from and seeing them take form is a huge, rewarding and satisfying achievement.

A work culture that prides itself on getting the job done but also has a sensible work life balance. No door is closed, all are welcomed and opportunities are available for the taking.
Pros
Subsidised gym membership, yoga Wednesdays, fruit Mondays, season ticket loan, bonus scheme

Great company to work for in general with excellent benefits available to all staff. Busy, fun and bright environment makes most days go by quickly. Unfortunately there are some downsides: In management it is hard work, goal posts changing constantly and poor communication from head office sometimes. Real support is limited with line management and head office departments being too over stretched to help when needed.
Pros
50% discount
Cons
Long hours, constant changes
