Best i can say, it's a job.
ife repair tech (Current Employee) – Slough, Berkshire – 19 February 2017
Very repetitive work, very much a "come in, sit dowen, shut up" kind of culture. They just want you to repair the units and gof forbid you should get seen talking to anyone else. Management have spokne to several people about talking and actually think this is supposed to motivate the staff, really? Trudge in, trudge to break, trudge out dead on time, again 30 seconds late and you are in trouble. Some staff have even been called up on how many/long toilet breaks and never have i worked anywhere that did this.
Money isn't great, it is stagnated in the past and i can testify that the salary has not changed in a long time, something in the region of 4 or 5 years.
Repair techs have absolutely no chance of advancement.
Management are reactive not proactive and are only interested in making themseleves look good as nevessary.
Part of the initial interview were questions about reel to reel tape recorders, really!?
Don't let the shining light around the panasonic logo blind you, working here is "drudgery"
err can't think of many, it's a job? is that good enough?
bullied into overtime, low pay, weak inefective reactive management no advancement
