Salary looks good on paper but expect to work for it, 50 to 60 hour a week! Bonus is never paid in full, trucks are ok, be prepared to get dirty, especially with waste oil that you collect, big routes, food waste, not bad, smells bad in summer months, no progression, management couldn't even run a bath, no support, work all Bank Holidays, part of your working week, heavy work.
Pros
Salary not bad!
Cons
Long working hours, impossible routes, be prepared to work hard and to smell of waste oil!

Do not work here, no P.P.E. Management are awful. No canteen its a small breakfast bar in a hall way with 3 chairs which is as busy as the m62. Filth and chemicals everwhere including changing room. Breathing in toxic fumes all day. Rats everywhere. Hazzards everywhere. Useless kit. False promises of a higher wage. Lots of owed hours on call 24/7. No sick pay. No overtime payments. Say you not worked hours you already have. Constant changing shift pattern. Offer you the world at interview to get you through the revolving door. Enviromental polution heres just one example, a pit out the back that holds all the nasties and is supposed to be pumped out weekly hasnt been pumped out in years due to the fact its leeking into the environment, there must be chasms miles long under liverpool after all these toxic corrosive chemicals have been going down there for years. There is a crack that runs right through the middle of this site under ground. Dangerous job health and safety is the worst I've ever seen, no regard for employees health, it is actually killing people in later life due to the toxic air you are exposed to constantly, you would be safer in a war zone. People get sacked due to no fault of their own, good lads end up on the dole after leaving with no job to go to. This is a really bad place to work i can't warn you enough not to work here. Do not work here. Somebody will die here don't let it be you. When i read these reviews i tend to think surely not its just a bitter ex employee. I promise you this is not the case. Do not be fooled by the £47000 it is £40000 for a death - more...

Hardest part of the job was to deal with the management.
Expectations changed all the time, one can't make a difference there.

Place was filthy, rats on the site, surprised it has valid Environmental Permit.

Food waste on floor, the place reeks.

Fluctuation of people was high.

A place where I saw tough guys humiliated to crying.

They weed out your self-esteem over time.
Pros
competitive salary
Cons
Ptsd

At first it was a challenge and enjoyable to an extent. There was a direction and initial aim which as a team we strived to achieve this. Then the cracks started to show!!! Changes were made in management and then things started to become more apparent on how the place was run!!! People put into positions because they are “manageable” and only follow instruction no matter if it’s right or wrong!
Basically a dictatorship. Some good staff not utilised or appreciated and suppressed whilst others are pushed on even though incompetencies were plain to see. If you want a job for life and security then this is not the place. Met some great people though and some not so great and most of the good people leave or are got rid off. If you want job security and to be appreciated then this is not the place to be which is a shame as it could be so much better it let down by poor higher management.i hope for the sake of the people left there that this changes but I’m not optimistic.
Pros
Can gain experience to take to another job with more security.
Cons
Poor higher management who don’t utilise their staffs talent.

I worked in the processing side of the work
In my eyes were under staffed and under paid .

Under staff reasons :

For it to run smooth you need at least 1 man at every station ideally you need 2 on some stations

You can’t get days off if 1 other person is off

If someone is sick there is no cover to help out

Under paid :

For the work we were doing we should be on more than 9 pound a hour it’s hard really hard work on your body

Mainly the the people that were in the office sales were on less money per hour but made more money than us at the end of the month due to getting bonuses

On the upside all the staff were great really nice people and to be fair the managers really are spot on and they do try to help you out as much as they can

The hours are good and a good company to work for but the work load can be a bit heavy from time to time, delivering new and used cooking oil can be a bit of a smelly. job on times.

Pay
Pros
Early start and early finish
Cons
Pay structure (bonus)

A very hard job on the oil side, a messy job with a lot of lifting, the company expects 24 calls a day minimum but you will get more like 28-30 drops and if on a London route 35-40..
if you live local to the area great but anywhere else it’s rubbish as location of branch means finishing after 4pm can mean a 2hr journey home on top of a 12/13hr day

worked in olleco for a year, i had to endure racist and sexist comments all the day from workers and managers, they "teach" you safety ways to work but when the meeting finish and you go out of the office, the same manager tells you to don't follow that because you will be slow.
i saw there using forklift with faulty brakes, big paddles of oil everywhere, they have a deposit for the oil leak, but when its raining they trow oil to the sewers saying that is water rain, they walk over pallets lifted with the forklift to unload trucks

Never had the misfortune to work for such a terrible organisation. No consideration for Mental Health issues amongst staff despite being made aware. So much so the GM managed to oust out two female staff members in the space of one month
Neither had more than 2 years service so all very very underhanded

Job could be fast or slow paced, depending on season. The lead-up to Christmas is the most stressful time of the year (which is quite normal), but then January tended to be slow starting. The only thing I would say is having been told in my interview that cold calling wouldn't be compulsory, it was then made so not long after I started and cold calling isn't for me. Its a good team to work with though overall and despite the normal office disagreements, I miss it.
Pros
Fair wage
Cons
Cold calling

If I could give zero stars this company would have it glady,
Best thing about my job was leaving the nutters behind at the office everyday not a brain cell between them, They can work a computer though great at looking up Google interview questions and daily quotes off there 🤣 to dull to think of thier own. Lorry stank job stank car stank I stank, no shower facilities at Newport branch? Ridiculous work load for 56 mph truck they wouldn't and couldn't understand the 45hr per week max hours set by our government and vosa👍 they expect you to get points on your license for them not having breaks etc 🤣 some rockstar drivers did a normal 6 till 2 shift but they were very special and were right up the GM's passage.

I had to leave 10 12 hour shifts in a lorry everyday are illegal and I am not risking my license for idiots. The pay was appalling too minimum wage worked out £8 ph

Spent a year in credit control here. Quite a few people came and went in that time and understandably so.
The incessant ringing of the telephone, the seniors shouting at you to answer it and the pressure of work loads prove all too much for many.

The salary is low compared to other Credit Control roles and your ledgers are random - little chance to create customer rapport.

Ultimately, the final nail in the coffin for me was being spoken down to one too many times by my immediate manager, but the senior manager was the glue that held this department together and the reason I was able to stay as long as I did.

And It's not all doom and gloom.

There are some truely lovely people here, at times it could be a fun and playful atmosphere in the office and almost a pleasure to be there.

It's a great company to work for. They are really interested in everyone's opinion and do lots to train and develop people. Most manager roles get filled internally so there are lots of chances to progress.

I've been able to do loads of training since joining - as long as you work hard and express an interest they will develop you!

The company puts safety at the heart of everything and my experience is that they really live this in everything they do.

The company is always changing so it keeps things interesting and always feels like you are able to make a positive difference - the fact we're helping the environment too is an added bonus!
Pros
Employee friendly - saving the planet!
Cons
Not for you if you like easy days!
