Delivering customer service to our customers, providing advice and guidance on our products to customers as well as arranging delivery of these items and dealing with customer complaints or problems they are having. Providing customers with design consultancy services, to produce the look and feel the wish to achieve through the Oka products Maintaining the showroom to high visualisation standards, through working closely with the Visual Merchandising team by presenting my own ideas and thoughts on the best presentations of rooms and products to match the design requirements of the Oka clients.

The company were upfront about the length of my temp role, and gave no false illusions. They even gave me another month after this ended, a kindness from them. The atmosphere is quite collaborative, with supervisors resolving issues as they spot them, bucking the stereotypes one assumes of this line of work, though there are one or two walking around. Generous breaks and the chance to work on the Sale (a massive event on the calendar) made it a rather fun assignment. The only downside were the agency who sent us, but OKA more than made up for that unpleasantness.

The company is striving to go forward and elevate however it has little structure in place and plan how to develop. The roles are not very clear and expectations are sky-high. Pressure is placed on management to achieve aims without clear instruction or guidance on how and minimal support - and that is the hardest part of the job. There are many changes in the structure at Head Office level and job security is minimal. The systems/procedures in place are over-dated and in urgent need of update or replacement. The product is great however and there are good professional people within the company to cooperate with.

Not a nice experience. Long hours. No recognition for going the extra mile. Naff salary. Senior managed literallycouldn'tcare less if you're injured or struggling to move the heavy items. Very little in way of lifting aids for warehouse staff and the delivery drivers. As long as the job is done they really don't give a toss about anything that the employees have to say in regards safety.

Condescending management and visual merchandisers talked down to new staff . Made to feel like you had no value and were inferior to them when highly educated . Deliveries ,staff expected to carry stock into shop as the stock came in lorry with drivers employed to just drive. Having worked for other retail companies they need to get many things organised in a different manner , expanded without proper organisation

Very bad company that treats employees badly, they are clear that they want your job to be your priority in life even though you're working on the shop floor. They have no compassion and won't help you when you need help

A great place due work, we had a fabulous team and loved the product, customers and ambience in the showroom. I was trained in VM and also faux flowers.
