Underpaid and overworked. Supervisors thinking their job is incredibly complicated in comparison to an average cinema host and often condescending you if you complain about being tired or stressed. Promotion to management positions are nothing to do with experience or even ability to do the job, more so just how well you can talk the talk and how much you compliment the GM. Overall, a bad place to work with little care given to the cinema hosts across the board, however, the company manages to manipulate a few into believing the job is excellent. Managers fuss over tiny things that seem to only have an impact on their bonuses, whilst the rest of the normal staff are struggling to make ends meet month to month with the paltry hours and wage served up by this glorious organisation. The fact that they want everyone to buy into the corporate nonsense from top to bottom is demeaning and insulting to your average worker who knows better, and just wants to do their job and go home. For the pay and grief you get from managers and customers alike, the pay is nowhere near enough.

No progression. It’s not about how hard you work it rather who you know to get up the ladder. Management is very poor over the whole Odeon circuit (Duty managers, general managers and regional managers). All about figures and they do not care about their employees as much as they like to say they do.

Terrible management within the odeon, lack of care for their staff members. The hours they promise are bs. Staff members who ain’t up the back side of the management don’t really get respect they deserve.
