We stand for hope. We stand for life. We stand for helping people do something extraordinary.
We supply safe blood, tissues and solid organs to UK hospitals. We also promote donation, test for safety, champion quality, and drive world-class research.
Our team is big and broad. From doctors, nurses and scientists to our devoted administrators and dedicated drivers, to specialists who work in ICT, finance, communications, project management and more.
There are more than 5,500 of us, located in team bases, donor centres, offices and embedded specialist units across the nation. We have some of the world’s most modern and innovative facilities, and we’re privileged to have the support of so many amazing donors.
Our people embody three core values that guide everything we do: Caring, Expert and Quality. With real respect for our colleagues, we help, support and inspire each other to be innovative and take action to keep people safe.
Our People Strategy commits us to work actively towards making working life here even better for everyone - with more flexible rewards, more engaging leadership, more innovation, and more opportunities to develop and grow your talents.
We strive to make it easy for you to be at your best every day - with clarity of expectation, honest and fair leadership, simpler processes and all the tools you need to do your job. Crucially, we are committed to recognising and rewarding your achievements.
With timely feedback on your performance, plus access to high quality learning and development opportunities, you can expect to make real progress here - from upward moves, to sideways steps to explore something new.
Our life-saving work and commitment to our people make NHSBT a unique place to build a career.
