Company tries to do the right thing for its employees but not when it comes to the main reason we work there....salary. Too many times good employees leave as the company are reluctant to pay the current market salary
Pros

Rapidly turned from an interesting job to a call centre. Manager incompetent and didn't care for his staff. No chance of advancement and very target driven.

Work life balance was perfect. Flex time was an added benefit and salary very competitive for Norwich. Sadly they consolidated some of their regional offices and Norwich was closed. If I hadn't been made redundant, I wouldn't have left.

Great company with no shareholders. Opportunity to get to know your customers as local to each individual Agency. Great feeling of commeradery working within a small Agency, but as part of the NFU Mutual.
Day to day required being able to manage your own workload and prioritise as necessary. Liaising with Underwriters regarding policies and Claims Team regarding any claims made under a policy. Being able to multi task is a necessity, from general admin work to selling and upselling.

A 19th century organisation trying to pass itself off as in the modern era; desperately in need of modernisation. Excruitiatingly frustrating to work for. Hopeless management.
Pros
You can go home
Cons
Tediously outmoded

Although the work could be enjoyable and I had good co-workers, the hiring of inexperienced managers who would only promote those that they were friends with outside of work lead to a very low moral amongst the majority of the staff and a terrible working environment.
Pros
Decent hours, good co-workers
Cons
Inexperienced management that couldn't listen to other ways of working
