In a typical day I would, manage and delegate work to the team. Deal with any complaints Give Positive and negative feedback to the team regarding their productivity and quality of work Support the Team Leader Manage my own work by prioritising and delegating Communicate any changes or updates to the team
I work well with my colleagues within the team and regularly deal with other colleagues from other teams.
Hardest part of the job is when you don't have enough resource through sickness/holidays and you need to manage the high volumes of work
HR Assistant (Former Employee) – Newport – 27 February 2014
So my shifts were flexible, which was quite handy if i was to have any appointments in the morning. My day would start with catching up on emails i had not seen from my previous work day. Then upon arrival of our line manager, i was then allocated few tasks for that day which would have to be done by the end of the day. This was repetitive and would happen everyday. I became more confident as more tasks were allocated to me and deadlines had to be met which of course id complete. As there weren't many people on my team, the work load was alot for us to handle which could become quite hard for us to manage but with the help of other colleagues from different departments, this was dealt with accordingly. What i really loved about my role and job was that i got on with nearly everyone in my building and had picked up a few good friends on the way.
You are a part of very busy team, required to work under pressure and expected to meet deadlines. You get the support from your team and advice from managers how to mantaing or improve your working style. We leave the office when everybody is finished, if someone struggles - the rest is ready to give a hand. Bubbly but professional people
