Whilst management may claim to be ethical and honorable, this is not the case. They're very clever in how they use the system to abuse employees, so the only way to succeed is to 'align yourself with the SLT (leaderhip team)'... which is a discreet way of admitting that nepotism is encouraged. The salary and benefits are good, but it felt like selling my soul to the devil, generally due to the constant passive / aggressive behavior so regularly displayed by colleagues. I still have some great friends within the organisation and have witnessed it's demise over recent years. Such a shame.
Pros
Salary
Cons
Management culture, dishonesty, passive / aggressive behaviors

My first job after leaving college was with Milliken which is a US privately owned company. My job was in the design studio in Wigan. Through the years I was able to progress and learn new skills with new job descriptions which also involved travelling quite extensively in Europe. Also had the opportunity to go to head office in La Grange Georgia on a six secondment. After ten years of service with Milliken after discussions with management they unable to recognise my need to grow creatively beyond what Milliken had to offer. After leaving I went travelling for three months round the world and then had an offer to join Brintons.
Pros
Travelling
Cons
Job growth
