Edinburgh - stay away !!
Ramp Agent (Former Employee) –  Edinburgh Airport18 October 2018
Management are bullies and treat the employees with zero respect, forced to work long hours without breaks when you ask you get shot down and made to feel worthless don't ever get a thanks for the job you've done but criticised when you things go wrong that's outwith your control.

Horrible place to work wouldn't give this job to my worst enemy ! The company is a disgrace too you will be working 55-60 hour weeks and getting paid for 29-37.5
Pros
Cant think of any
Cons
Management, hours, pay

Terrible place to work
Ramp Agent (Former Employee) –  Manchester, Greater Manchester12 October 2018
Mangers are bullies and allocating staff are useless!!! If you want a ramp or bag hall job please don’t use Menzies. Absolutely terrible. Overtime is never paid and they can’t even get your basic salary right!! So if you’ve got bills to pay or children to feed this is not the job for you. If you like being spoken down to and bullied they this is definitely the right job for you

De-icing Co-ordinator (Current Employee) –  London8 October 2018
very busy work environment, workplace culture is better than some. the hardest part is not having the authority or being able to get a contact for someone to be able to make a decision. communication within the organisation is fragmented but all together an okay place to work.
Pros
great experience
Cons
long hours, communication breakdown

I enjoyed the job but was always either late in leaving/underpaid/no break in an 8 hour shift. Specific Managers were very unsupportive and pushed me to leave. A lot of bullying in the workplace. Would not recommend.

Bad morale throughout
Airside Ramp Agent (Former Employee) –  Manchester13 August 2018
Worked on the ramp at Manchester. Staff morale is so low due to long unsociable hours, poor rostering/allocation. Forget about a social life. Your hours will be all over the place and your body will be shattered due to the odd working times (0500-1400 & 2200-0200). Worst aspect about Menzies by far is the payroll. Very rarely will they get your wages right. don't even expect to be paid for overtime. Contacting them is a job and a half and even when you do manage to get through, they are absolutely useless. No extra rate for bank holiday or overtime, all paid at normal rate.
Pros
Interesting job
Cons
physically challenging, terrible hours, no overtime payment

Passenger agent is a fun and enjoyable job, as you come across different cultures. Time fly when you start the shift and help passengers completing their boarding process.
Friendly environment.

Not the best company to work for.
Passenger Service Agent (Former Employee) –  Edinburgh Airport20 June 2018
There was limited support from managerial staff and very short staffed most of the time. Shifts were changed without your knowledge and no chance to change them back if couldn't manage. Enjoyed the airport environment but wouldn't work for menzies again.

baggage handler (Current Employee) –  Manchester Airport, Greater Manchester18 June 2018
Good members of staff but managed badly. Training provided but not to full extent. New starters progressed to team leaders too soon as they're not fully aware of all procedures, then mistakes happen.

Very poorly run
Baggage Handler (Former Employee) –  Manchester, Greater Manchester19 May 2018
I managed 2 weeks before I left, run poorly, when you first start you get a white pass and have to be escorted everywhere only no one wanted to look after you so you got dumped on a belt and left there for all you're shift, no real training given, unsafe environment all round, if an agency try's hire you don't let them they rip you off from the word go! Good job for young lads who just wanna get on with it but if you are looking for career progression look else where.

Passenger Service Agent (Former Employee) –  Manchester30 April 2018
Worst company you can work for. Disgusting management. They expect you to be a performing monkey and if your face doesn’t fit they make your life miserable. One Manager is a bully and is very personal with you should you stick up for yourself during any dealings you maybe unlucky enough to experience. You can come across the handful of lovely staff but that is rare. Good job that keeps you busy but just a company to avoid.

Fun industry to work in if you can handle the hours but unfortunately the management team has always been selfish and only focused on their work. Also they get rid of a lot of people with disabilities and long-term health conditions

Dispatcher - British Airways (Former Employee) –  Edinburgh Airport20 March 2018
This company couldn't care less about staff if they tried. They allow bullying to take place and believe it is suitable to treat there staff like slaves

Company has a very high turn over of staff and even loyal members of staff eventually leave because they are that unhappy

I would never recommend anyone to work with this company especially in edinburgh airport
