Warehouse Operative (Former Employee) – Heywood, Greater Manchester – 13 November 2018
Hard work , don't need to go to gym anymore.Managers in hewood helpful and accommodating,95 % of workers friendly. Problem with the pay structure as on a weekend as you are working with people who are on an old contract who are doing the same work for double your money, which is proberbly the reason for the high turnover of staff. Pay better than average after 12 weeks (9.50) then free food.Personally 2-10 shift for me is ideal.Do my shift ,go home.chill.Happy days
Interim Finance Analyst, Heywood DC (Former Employee) – Heywood, Greater Manchester – 23 July 2018
Good local senior management team pushing a splendid working environment. Junior & more senior staff encouraged to progress with various schemes. Despite record growth and the pressures that brought, still a good feeling
I have worked here on night shifts for about 7 months before i started at vauxhall. I was doing monday to friday at vauxhall and saturdays here at martin brower. its been nice but recently the work has dropped and i am not getting enough hours
My time with Martin Brower was ok I got along with people and learnt new skills like driving a llop and people skills improved as was easy to talk to people as most were approachable. Management was fair.
the lunches were paid for as you got 3.25 on your card
Managment swearing at people during the briefing, constantly threating with dissmisal for trivial things. Putting the pressure on you to do the high target (Of course the target is not compulsory for employees working there for long time and for better money cause they work on the old contract) You will not spend any time with family because you are forced to work during the weekends for no bonus. I would not recommend this job for anyone except slaves/people without any respect for themselves.
free lunches, not bad money
awful management, unsocial hours, high targets, treating you like a slave
Usually I'm doin picking, It would be much better if managment would change people with their roles, instead of putting one person to do something all over again. I have learned many of things, like driving a LLOP or PPT, improved my english language as well. Most of the boxes are heavy (about 25kg) thats the hardest part of the job, cause you need to lift it all day long.

A very good place to work. The staff are second to none! They're friendly and will always go out of their way to help you. It's a very busy workplace. With lots of orders going out of the door everyday!
Picker/Packer (Former Employee) – Heywood, Greater Manchester – 8 May 2017
not great with people skills no time with your family you do not get to spend new years and christmas with your family. the problem with the place is it is very bad at sacking people who can call people on their race and culture.
Lack real management, was not a fun place to work threatening behavior from managers pay was the only good thing about this place aswell as it was a local place to work wouldn't recommend this company for people to work

there is no typical days as you deliver to different store each day,i've learnt to always be polite to everyone you meet when delivering to the stores ,the managers where always there to help you if you had any problems . My co-workers where friendly and helpfull if you need to no how to get somewhere that you have not been too, there was no part that was hard ,doing the job correctly and making the client happy
