One of the best jobs I've had because it gave me so many skills that I am now using in my education. The management at Marriott was very supportive and helped me grow and develop as a person.
The other staff were great to work with and easy to get along with, while a typical day at work consisted of keeping everything stocked up, tidy and maintaining - more... brand standards when communicating with customers.
The hardest part of the job was the hours, some times two or three 10/11 hour shifts a week during peak times so most weeks were 50+ hours, didn't help that we were understaffed but we go on ... - less
ProsGood progression routes, possibilites to work abroud, free food
ConsLong hours, sometimes excessively long hours. Understaffed. Money was bellow average.
