Depends if you are temp or not. Temps get treated with less respect because most of them leave but more valuable members of staff get treated better. I get all the overtime I want. Just work hard
Depends what kind of store you go to. Bigger department stores can be more organised but there are loads of middle managers so conflict can occur. Simply Food stores can be more organised as well but fewer admin staff to talk to. Better in a simply food id say.
Thank the Lord the store closed down and yes, for the short people who worked in ready meals, I did get the full redundancy! Ho Ho!
Look up some of the history of marks and Spencer's (how it all started) it is a customer service based role so you need to show you will basically go above and beyond for the customer. There will be a role play involved where you must show case this.
If you're applying around the Holiday Season like I did they're likely to hire you if you just show initiative and that you've read through the booklet relating to the roleplay you have to do.
For your interview it is important to take a copy of your national insurance number, passport or identification, right to work documents if applicable and a copy of your CV
