Insecure
Overall a good place to work but job security is quite uncertain. The company is run in quite an old fashioned way and could do with a modern face lift.

Decent enough
Was not there for very long. Welcoming staff, competent management.
Sometimes 13-14 hour bar shifts. Sometimes no breaks.

Constant problems with stock and machinery.

Bad Management
Management do not care about their staff — expected to work long hours for minimum wage which does not reflect the job role that you're doing. Furthermore, management do not participate when it is rush hour, rather stand by and tell everyone to pick up the pace.

Booking time-off is a pain, as management does the rota two weeks early but often did not account for time-off that had already been agreed; difficult to get them to recall the rota. Getting pay slips is also a pain, and I had to remind the management several times that providing workers with payslips is a legal right — still, these take ages to arrive, and management prefers giving them out in lump, rather than monthly.

Good working place, very respectfull if you do your job properly
Good and serious company. Good head chef and very commited Sous chef.
Easy job but very busy some days. Employees are not properly qualified (most of the chefs are not real chefs).

Rewarding
The staff are some of the best I’ve worked with. It’s hard work in the hospitality industry, but exceptionally rewarding. The job teaches you to work on your feet and can be at times time sensitive with a heavy work load. Working well within a team sees all these factors solved in a timely manner.
Pros
A bustling environment
Cons
Lack of communication

Cons
There is massage all day, You don’t get itbreaks. And 5 mins to clean room if not less

Great first timer job
Passionate and relentless - you`ll achieve yours, colleagues, and the businesses ambitions, in a multitude of ways and overcoming setbacks along the way. You will inspire your peers and colleagues to do the same, keeping them focussed and enthused, and celebrating successes as they arrive.

Housekeeping
Majority of hotel guests make so much mess it’s horrific. It’s incredibly hard work esp putting in extra beds in rooms by yourself. Sometimes if short staffed- have to work 9 days in a row.
Pros
Free lunch though sometimes nothing
Cons
Very rarely get weekend off or even odd Sat.

Would not recommend this place to anyone. Perhaps if you are a seasonal worker looking to made some money yes. Do not look upont his company for career advancement or support. Dreadful jobs for th boys attitude, run by a bunch of old men with out dated ideas, no room for anyone with any imagination or insight. Alround terrible experience.

Avoid at all costs
Sales advisors treated like bottom of the food chain - no opportunity to progress pride themselves on being a family run business but has no family ethics!

They care about no one on their pay toll money terrible, expected to work flexibly at the drop of a hat and no shift allowance for weekend or back shifts. Can never get holidays due to lack of staff and shifts are awful

Bizarre place to work, not in a good way..
Managers are useless and very rude, they tell you what to do then clap their hands expecting you to run and obey their orders, the 2 breakfast manager women are horrible and angry all the time, staff lunches are left under the lights while the chefs dip bread and spoons in and eat away also breaking pieces of fried fish off and eating it even though its for staff, filthy!! The owners semi-conscious son walks around doing nothing as if he is Jesus returned... card tips go to office staff, so if you work hard all summer/winter and leave, then some office chair warmer gets a higher percentage of your card tips and you get nothing, wonderful!! the night manager a Mr bean lookalike is a whole new paragraph, how he got a job is just wow! if you do work there, make sure you check your shifts start and finish times, as they like to save money by cutting back what time you actually finished so you work for free, once again filthy!! be smart, go elsewhere.

A nice enjoyable place to work
From my experience, the job actually seemed much more enjoyable than I expected because working as a team I really like because I had gained some good skills from the experience that I can use for my further career.
