It is such a long process. Felt like I was applying for a profession job, when in fact it was only a Christmas temp position.
So firstly I handed my CV with a cover page, which felt like I was writing an essay on how much I love lush.
Then, two weeks later I got invited to a group interview. There was so many people, biggest one I’ve attended. I would say probs 40 people attended with having at least 10 people who didn’t attend. This interview consisted of 5 sections; one on one interview, a little pitch and 3 activities.
One on one interview questions included: who is your role model and why? Why lush? Describe a hard time you’ve had with a customer and how did you deal with it?
Around a week and half later I was told I was successful to attend the trial shift. It was 1.5hr long, where we had to go to department stores and see how customer service is being provided, then had a trial on shop floor. Try and approach customers, do demos and at the front of shop greet customers with ‘welcome to lush, what brought you in?’. Also, try testers on customers.
A week later I was told I got the job and to attend a 4 day training. Trial shift was paid too.
Pay is excellent, £8.75. Discount is great, 50%. Plus you get a lot of free stuff.
There's no specified requirement for the interview process, just whatever you're comfortable in.
Played icebreaker games, which was quite fun! Then we got a product to learn for about 10 minutes then to sell! Welcomed back for trial shift, had to learn about 3 products and sell it to manager before I went to shop floor. Was offered the job there and then.
