Management just window dress your concerns and then do the opposite. Hours unfairly distributed and changed with no notice.
I seriously recommend you avoid this company at all costs.

Everyone helps out with tasks even if they are trying to complete their own jobs. Well organised management where everyone knows their position. Which jobs need doing and by when they are needed

Change hours without notification, not enough CSA's, training after first 2 days not good. love working with customers, but do not feel safe with only 2 members of staff at night. keep your head down if things go wrong.
Pros
Special offers.
Cons
working nights.

Customer Services Assistant (Former Employee) –  Lincoln18 December 2017
Overall the pay and benefits are great, you can work around college etc but not if you are a generally busy person.

pay is £7.61 an hour and you get half an hours lunch break aslong as you work 7 hours or more
Pros

Awful only pro is customers
Ex employee (Former Employee) –  Csa26 November 2017
This place is a disgusting place to work no effort from the management to support the staff in anyway wether it be being helpful towards doing shop stuff learning new things or asking for help constantly on egg shells as to wether your doing it right and to afraid to ask as it's portrayed as tho you are stupid!
Staff are treated like dirt spoken to like your 4 and been left to deal with snarky customers and take the brunt of the blame when the customers not happy if there's a shop lifter it's ur fault but how you can't serve full shelves and watch the shop all on your own while management sit in the office pretending to do work!! Only pro to working in a place like this some of the staff you could make good friends with and the customers who you can have a laugh with and get to know!
Pros
Customers
Cons
Management, poor quality of understanding staffs needs and when they need help, long hours

Don't take a leadership position
Team Leader (Former Employee) –  Goxhill8 October 2017
They expect a lot with little training and/or experience. Shift patterns are okay as long as you're flexible. Management isn't the best. Workplace is great, however a lot is expected of you.

Former branch manager
Service Manager (Former Employee) –  Lincolnshire24 September 2017
Spent a large part of my life working for Lincolnshire Co-op and sorry to say my last few years there were far from pleasant due to certain newly appointed senior managements and their attitude to others. Don`t expect a pat on the back or praise for going the extra mile just watch out for the stab in the back at their first opportunity to make you feel small and worthless.

Glad to say I finally escaped and got a job where the boss appreciates his staff.

It's an okay Job
Customer Service Assistant (Current Employee) –  Lincoln, Lincolnshire7 July 2017
It's your typical retail job, you serve customers and fill shelves. You can learn to do more but it's very limited outside those two tasks.

The quality of working in a Lincolnshire Cooperative Foodstore depends on the manager, there are good and there are bad.

The worst part is when you unmanned due to sickness or poor management and you're unable to complete all the tasks required.

Most enjoyable part is having fun with the colleagues you work with.
Pros
Bonus on store Dividend Cards
Cons
Limited room for growth.

Retail with the CO-OP
Customer Services Assistant and Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Spalding, Lincolnshire27 June 2017
The Lincolnshire CO-OP is an independent cooperative, separate from the national CO-OP seem around the whole UK. A typical day depends on the shifts you are given. Some stores open really early (6/7am) and stay open until late (9/10pm). The job gives you experience in customer service, consumer care and product knowledge. A core part of the job is handling money and making decisions at the transaction stage. A key advantage of retail is the fantastic work/life balance, as when you go home you leave work behind. A downside to this line of work at the CO-OP are some of the mundane and repetitive tasks where larger organisations may use technology instead.

Rewarding and varied
Store development assistant (Current Employee) –  Lincolnshire17 January 2017
Everyday is different but usually starts by loading the van for the stores we shall be working at that day, also checking what has been ordered from our stock room and distributing it ASAP. In my time here i have been on a number of courses such as advanced driving and first aid. As i travel to different stores around the county i see a lot of interesting people and commune with with staff on all levels, management or employees. Hardest part of the job is traveling to stores that are far away for an early refit. the most enjoyable part is the amount of freedom and independence our department receives.
