Within one week you can be given 5am-2pm shifts as well as 2pm-11pm shifts. Trying to create a sleep routine around this is impossible. After a while you become incredibly tired and will find your self mostly trying to sleep in your time off. However you’ll be lucky they don’t harass you to do extra time on your days off. In reality there is no work life balance what so ever.

Unless you declare at interview or on starting date what you can and cant do its pretty open. Im on a 25 hour contract and normally get 29. Ok it can range some days from 6am to 14.00 or another day 14.00 to 10pm. But hey don't go for a job in an industry who's hours are retail related if you want a 9 - 5 lol.

I'm contracted to a 30 hour contract and my rota usually Always says 45! They don't even asked if you require overtime, your just roted so you don't have any choice. We now have to work 10 hour shifts, there is no shorter shifts. This is draining and if you end up on a till all day, its mind boggeling. The jobs itself I thoroughly enjoy. It's the hours. I have no social life, as I'm always working the weekend, and majority of the time I have to work Saturday and Sunday early!! If I had set hours, and set days it would be a much enjoyable place to work. And at least people
Would be able to make plans!!

Not great - this is one of the only downfalls.
Barely 25hrs per week and can be unsociable hours and no time and a half if thats the case.
5am - 3pm, 1pm - 11pm (usual shifts)
