I went through the rigors of their interview process. I got there and saw interviewers who probably got there through people they know and now have the opportunity to pose as managers. They collected all my details, with no intelligent questions and did not get back to me. The positions are still vacant, the operations manager kept dodging my calls. They put people thy know ther and have the gots to bring you in for an interiew, I passed the 2 phases an went for the last phase only to be asked funny questions with the two boy managers obviously not knowing what they were doing. I ask that the head quarters of Sainsbury's to get people who know what it is to pass an interview to interview paople and not just bi=oys who are there through those they know
My interviewer, made me wait 40 minutes in a tiny staffroom with the staff already there, only when I asked a member of staff to find out what's happening did he call me in. He seemed to not remember what questions he was supposed to ask, and after the interview he asked me to stack shelves with another staff member for 30 minutes to see how I got on, which I did easily as it was easy, he said I would find out in a few days if I got the job as they had loads of interviews to do, yet I found out i didn't get it a few hours later, which meant he just used me to stack shelves knowing he didn't want me. Beware Kilburn sainsbury's.
I completed the online test and was offered an interview the following day. I was applying for a new store which wasn’t open yet, so had to be interviewed at a different one. I was interviewed by a young guy who told me to follow him into a very messy office & sit down. He didn’t introduce himself or shake my hand. He asked me to tell him about myself, then read through a sheet of questions to which I had to reply yes or no, then asked if I had any questions. Didn’t ask me anything about Sainsbury’s or why I wanted the job or why I thought I would be good at the job.
Poor interview all round. Could have done all this as a phone interview. Heard nothing back yet.
I went for my interview yesterday it was very laid back and relaxed and they told me I will hear after they have completed all there interviews all you got to do in interviews is just be yourself and answer questions they ask in detail and they offer good pay too which is good.
Interview then induction which consists of spending 8 hours on your own on a knackered iPad covering h&s customer service etc including interaction with equipment you haven't been trained to use online manager nowhere to be found during induction saw her twice in 8 hours one where she couldn't find her lunch!!!!! No uniform no fire exit instructions and driving shift written on a piece of paper in what looked like crayon absoloutly shocking for such a large company
Infact we cracked open a bottle of malt scotch with cheese and onion crisps
I had an interview 2 weeks ago went really well told me my uniform size and everything spoke as if were mates not interview said I should here within a week been 2 weeks now I phoned hr they said they ain't heard nothing from the store yet also phone store spoke to the interviewer ahead said still interview not made a decision yet I'll let you know thanks for the call is this a good sign surely if they didn't want me they would let me know asap
I've had an interview went really well took my uniform size everything said I would hear within a week ita been two I phoned hr they said they ain't reciecevd anything from the store I also phone the store she said I cant tell you nothing u til we interview everyone is this a good sign or ot this normal to take that long she said high number of applicants surely if they weren't interested in me they would just let me know asap
Invited for interview at Amblecote West Midlands.
Left wsiting nearly 40 minutes after arranged time before being invited to room to go through 1 to 1 questions.
Was advised would be told if I was successful or not within a week.
However ..no response and when chased up after wards by email asking for update and any feedback there was no reply.
Disappointing that a so called reputable company like Sainsbury's failed a basic courteous response being Communication when they pride themselves on delivering Excellent customer service.
SAINSBURY'S ......CUSTOMER SERVICE AND GOOD COMMUNICATION IS ACROSS ALL LEVELS .. DONT JUST PICK AND CHOOSE WHEN TO IMPLEMENT THESE VALUES .... ........VERY DISSAPOINTING .....
