Made to work alternating weekends sometimes causing you to work well over hrs agreed - for me nearly double the hours with working weekends. You don’t earn extra for weekends just public holidays but it tends to be long term or office staff that cover those

Yes. For example, if I request 6 hours' paid work in a day, I will actually be working for 12 hours. The rest of the time is spent on badly-timed breaks, travelling, finding parking or reading care plans before entering a customer's house. For a 12-hour-day, this means I am not even paid £70. At 19p a mile, it is barely enough to cover petrol, let alone wear-and-tear.
