Customer Care Assistant (Part-Time) (Former Employee) – London – 21 September 2018
It was fun working in Harrods. You got a special coupons to get special price for products. You met a lot of famous and rich people. The management team was kind and friendly. It was a multi cultural work place which was fun to get to know staff from different countries and speak different languages.
Store Detective (Former Employee) – London, Greater London – 14 September 2018
Too political. Who you know, not what you know. Brown nose to get anywhere. Upside is you meet a good bunch of people. Downside is you'll never get anywhere if you're under an insecure boss. There are quite a few of them.
Good place to work although changes have affected the atmosphere.
Dept Manager (Former Employee) – Thatcham – 31 August 2018
Would recommend the DC for newbies wishing to enter the world of Distribution. Harrods is a very good employer and generally looks after its people. Changes over the last few years have bought in a different feeling into the DC.
Sales Consultant (Former Employee) – Knightsbridge, Greater London – 6 August 2018
worked in various areas of harrods,
mainly okay to work in if you like fashion, poor managers very rude and arrogant. very busy at times and then mostly it is very quiet which can get very boring and dull. people would die for commission and trample all over you to get this.
Customer service advisor - Fendi (Former Employee) – Knightsbridge, Greater London – 19 July 2018
Day to day duties: • Greeting customers who enter the store • Stock control and replenishment. • Responsible for processing cash and card payment • Answering queries from customers over the phone and in person • Reporting discrepancies and problems to the supervisor
Retail Operations Analyst (Former Employee) – London, Greater London – 12 July 2018
Worked as a Retail Operations Analyst. Do not even believe the job description as there is no one in the business using R, SQL use is limited to the most basic statements and you won't learn anything. The worst thing is that your management will be unqualified personnel who've gone up from the shop floor and have no analytical expertise and completely unprofessional. Avoid or suffer the consequences. There are excellent opportunities elsewhere!
Poor management, poor general office environment, poor infrastructure
Fun, full of different cultural backgrounds, entertaining, interesting
Sales Associate (Current Employee) – London – 12 July 2018
Working in Harrods was extremely interesting you never knew what you were going to see when you came to work. It opened you eyes to cultures and how they operate. Hardest part of the job was the demand and the language barrier at times, however most enjoyable was having conversations with different people from all over the world about their experience in London.
Retail System Services Analyst (Current Employee) – Knightsbridge – 2 July 2018
A brilliant place to grow as person and the working environment is very friendly and very teamwork based. The unity of the staff is of the upmost importance to ensure amazing customer service is maintained at a high level.
