From memory there was a basic Q+A about yourself, then you had to try and select the best items after being told about a customer (from a list they provided, e.g they would say 'its my wife's birthday' and you would ask questions and choose from some jewellery), and then you had to try and sell a random item (i.e. a pen)

1) full online application form & online assessment questions
2) if success they will call you and ask questions i.e what you like about h Samuel ... what do you know ... tell me abit about your last job etc etc.
3) they will ask for interview, at the interview you answer many similar sounding generic questions - pretty much what you'd expect at a jewellers interview. You will also have to do a role play (hint: start with a greeting, and ask very open ended questions like "so what brings you in today, are you in for something special today? Then highlight the products features and why it's good to the customer then close sale).
4) if you're successful they will call you and you will start training.

Good luck :-)

The interview process is long and quite intense. It lasted over 90 minutes, with a full hour of back to back questions which all seemed very similar and difficult to answer. I felt like I was constantly referring back to the same examples to answer the questions with.

The second part of the interview process is a role play sales experience. You are given a booklet of jewellery/watches with their prices. You have 10 minutes to take notes and come up with a way of introducing the products. The interviewer acts as the customer coming into store, you must welcome them into store, ask what brings them into store, and sell them a product. You must ask them if they have a price range in mind, what their style is etc. It is quite daunting especially if you have not worked in sales before.

I was surprised to hear a call back a few days later from the interviewer who offered me a job. I was told the interview was conducted on a points system.

You first complete an online assessment. Then you may be called for an interview. Be prepared to know about the company and make sure you know professional customer service. You will be asked to "role play" just a small process which the manager pretends to be a customer and you have to demonstrate the entire sale from "hello" to payment. A lot of generic quesfions that all sound pretty much the same but easy enough if you're prepared :-)
