Weekend Team Member (Former Employee) – Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire – 21 October 2017
All depends on your management. In my experience over two years as a part time employee while studying it's a simple role and you do what anyone would expect. Basic customer service, cleaning and food handling. Management are key to making it an enjoyable experience.
Shop Assistant (Former Employee) – Sheffield, South Yorkshire – 17 October 2017
the management are bully’s they tret me like a child being patronising because I was 16. The hours are awful in training you have to be there for 6:30AM you don’t choose your shifts they just give you them.
It’s too much responsibility for a teenager if I finished training I would have to open the shop and in the store there’s only 3/4 people working there so you have no time to fumble about you’re always on your toes especially when it comes to lunch breaks.
The pay is very good at 6.35 for 16 year old
Don’t get to choose your shifts & too much responsibility

Greggs is a very friendly work environment and care for their employees very well. whenever there is a problem someone is always available to help.your always learning new skills and how to handle different customers. The most enjoyable part of the job is seeing someone happy with their service your provide and seeing them smile.

Greggs is a great company to work for. The pay is only one advantage as to working there. Shift timing were extremely handy over summer and fit into my schedule. Employee discount was also brilliant! Over all a decent easy going company.
Mangers are rude towards their staff and make the place unwelcoming for a shift. Its a busy working environment so everyone needs to help each other however i personally don't think i or other people in my store get the help we deserve from our manager.
its a great place if you dont mind starting work very early in the morning its a very good atmosphere as the shops are quite small so you do all need to get along with each other very much part of the community
