Work-life balance

Various Roles in Hull
on 12 May 2020
Seasonal work in a chaotic atmosphere
Given the nature of business, employment is generally seasonal, sourced through agencies and ended with no notice. Salary is just above minimum wage. A typical day would involve picking and packing orders and general house-keeping. Management is constantly changing, resulting in a chaotic and sometimes dangerous workspace.
Head Office Administrator in Dorking, Surrey
on 5 May 2020
Good friends, poor opportunities
The people who work in the office are genuinely lovely. Not a bad soul there. Pay is pretty low unless you're a senior manager and it doesn't seem structured.some new starters earn more than people already in the team. Most likely because reviews are few and far between. No aspects of career growth, you'll get given more stuff to look after as the business grows but you won't get an official promotion. High levels of stress and workload felt everywhere, especially at Christmas but also throughout the year. Many have commented on how it helps to be male here. Overall feeling from most is that it is a good workplace, but not great.
Shift Manager in warehouse
on 23 March 2020
shocking lack of respect for staff
The culture is one of disregard for staff, no training or investment in people. Senior management have only regard fro themselves, with their salaries increasing YoY. staff are treated very poorly, no training, dismissed with short service constantly, long term staff bully all new comers to protect their jobs.
Picker/Packer in Kingston upon Hull

It was a good job just wasn’t temporary which I am looking for other then that it was a good place to work and I really enjoyed it I really wish I was still working there
5/ Menkind- Sales Assistant in Meadowhall, South Yorkshire
on 20 February 2020
Not a nice enviroment
Upper management care very little for their employees barely even taking the time to learn names or even say hello when they visit. Loyalty means nothing to them and will happily toss aside long standing staff members if it means saving money for less qualified staff members
