It’s okay.
Christmas Temp (Former Employee) –  Shirebrook, Derbyshire2 December 2018
It’s a very fast paced environment on shop floor. You’re constantly having to talk to someone or make your displays look nicer. Close down is an absolute hassle when you still have customers coming in and messing your stands and walls up. Very very goal oriented and at times it becomes over consuming. Manager was such a lovely woman and so was all the other staff. You do get a discount of 20% but the clothes are still very expensive. Saturdays are always busy and it can become daunting at times especially if you’re working on days when there’s big sales on (Boxing Day, New Year, Black Friday). You will hurt in your first couple of shifts due to how long you spend on your feet.
Pros
Working with high end clothes.
Cons
Small pay and small discount.

Mananger and assistant manager are terrible people
Sales Assistant (Part-time) (Current Employee) –  Solihull, West Midlands5 October 2018
At the flannels, the manager isn’t a people person and aggressively talks to th employees as if they have no rights and the assistant manager sexually harasses the female employees.
The job is easy but the store is boring and the discount is bad as you only get 25% off anything only for your self in your gender, you can’t use it on your family.
Pros
Sales assistants are nice people
Cons
Managers are bad

I didn't work here for a long period of time. I found it was very goal orientated and you had to hit targets. Most of the time staff are just stood about.

When Sport Direct take over Flannels destroy totally the Flannels concept. You be push to work long hours no pay, No support by Area Manager, Manager rude and without knowledge, if you have a problem in store with your manager the H/O don't support you. No serious company at all. You will be umiliate all the time
Pros

Extremely hard work physically/mentally. Job takes over your life!
Store Manager (Former Employee) –  London21 July 2014
It is owned by Sports Direct and the expectation for managers, supervisors and full time sales assistants is to live and breathe the company. There are regular occassions where you are expected to work an extremely late night and start a ridiculously early morning (i.e. you finish at 10.30pm and start the next day at 5.30am). Most weeks you are working well over 48hours (on average I was working 70). Now don't get me wrong I have a love and passion for retail and I will put 110% into my work and will strive to exceed targets/expectations, KPI's etc. But working for this company was too much!
Pros
Bonuses if acheived/ staff discount
Cons
Long hours. No appreciation from Area/Regional Managers

I had chances to further my passion for fashion and travel the world on buying trips and also deal with press having being quoted in Drapers,GQ,Esquire.I also loved the fact that it led me to styling which I had all the top designers at hand to create images for editorials which helped two fold.
