Bus Driver/Operator (Former Employee) –  Colchester1 July 2018
Management are two faced including supervisors, they have spy's as drivers to drop other drivers in trouble, the union is week or in management pocket as let most things though to shaft the drivers.
Management doesn't want experienced drivers as they know the rules,
Which is why there buses go out and are getting pulled by vosa
Pros
Staff pass, hourly rate
Cons
Bad management, worn out buses with bad workshop

Horrible place to work
Bus Driver (Former Employee) –  Slough, Berkshire28 June 2018
Management never tell truth and will not help you in any situation and just seem to look for reasons to sack staff. Public constantly insulting bus drivers and making their days really hard.
Pros
Going home at end of shift
Cons
Long hours in a very stressful environment. Not worth the pay.

Terrible company.
PCV Driver (Former Employee) –  York, North Yorkshire7 June 2018
Yrs ago it was a good job..
But now with none bus man managers & directors the place is a toilet. Lots of long term drives leaving.
The company bullies its policys through. Cutting back running time. All pigeon holes are full of come see me letters. There are spys every where. Rotas/Duites mean you spend more time at work than home.
Dont do it it will be your worst job ever
Pros
Free company pass
Cons
Every thing from rotas to managers

more communication is needed between management and drivers
PCV Driver (Former Employee) –  Reading Station, Berkshire28 May 2018
As a coach driver the work was interesting as well as challenging given certain factors like I mentioned of communication between management and staff ,but on the other hand the drivers get to be trained professionally how to approach various situations and challenges as you may know that every trip behind the wheel is never identical to the previous one. meeting people of different walks of life is interesting and helping them to get information to their relevant destinations is always a priceless delight.

Do NOT go near them!
Driver (Current Employee) –  Glasgow, Glasgow24 April 2018
If you have a social life or you have a commitment to a relative do not go near first bus. There is no compassion, no empathy, no sympathy, no concern and no interest from your manager or dom! They are only interested in the revenue of the company and not your well being. If you do your job right, you're still wrong they constantly move the goal posts to suit themselves. If you go for a disciplinary you're guilty before even sitting down, because they side with the public. Your job isn't safe and there's too many rules and big brother cameras watching every move you make. I came into the job because I lived driver, they soon ruined that passion.
Pros
Free staff pass
Cons
Hours, complaints, managers, vehicle defects

Was a good company now run down
Director (Former Employee) –  North West31 March 2018
Poor record of management changes, cost cutting and lack of essential investment . Job security is a joke for any support staff or management . Constant changes done in the hope of improvements but they just end up removing staff. Those that remain do more work. Poor pay rises, pension devalued. Competitors Stagecoach, Arriva, Abelio, Go Ahead, much better companies to work for
Pros
Dwindling Fast
Cons
Job security, Senior Management attitude, lack of investment, constant financial pressure, no direction

Vehicle Mechanic (Current Employee) –  Livingston North27 March 2018
Useless operations managers. It's all a big boys club of who knows who and not what you know. Try looking past good drivers or cleaners to be the next ops manager.

Not the job your looking for
Bus driver (Current Employee) –  Aberdeen8 March 2018
Great job if you have no social life, girl friend or children cause you'll never have time to see any of them. Great if you like to get called names by the public on a daily basis and awesome if you want to have all these things to live in the national poverty bracket. You won't find out if you like the job until after you start driving and by then your tied down to a two year contract if you like it or not.
Pros
Free bus travel
Cons
Longs unsociable hours for poor money and less time off

Bus driver (Former Employee) –  Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire21 January 2018
I was a staff driver and had a very varied duty.
As staff driver you are the first in on early shift (04:00) and last to leave on a late shift ( 01:30)
