Collaborative workplace with room to learn and explore. Open, inclusive, caring.
Content Strategist (Former Employee) –  Lower Kingswood, Surrey28 October 2019
A culture of morning stand-ups and weekly catch-ups to gauge progress on any given project. Changing culture within an established business is not easy and is not achieved overnight, so be prepared for challenges to existing thinking. The financial services industry is highly regulated and understanding the importance of that is key to success within the business and industry at large.

Client Services Technical Manager (Current Employee) –  Kingswood, Surrey14 July 2019
Fidelity is a great place to work. The company and especially Client Services is filled with passionate & enthusiastic people who care about the customer.

The role was always varied and progression achievable through hard work and adaptability. The training provided is excellent and you also have the opportunity and support to study for industry qualifications.

The company is ever changing and keeping up with the rate of change is challenging & you need to be adaptable. However change equals opportunities & with the wide range of products & services offered by Fidelity across multiple locations, hard work & a determination to succeed can be rewarded.

Social responsibility matters and Fidelity actively promotes & supports volunteering and fund raising for local charities.
Pros
Great benefits, Superb working environment

Great on paper, management structure and work culture poor
Senior Marketing Manager (contract) (Former Employee) –  Kingswood, Surrey17 June 2019
Pros and cons, as always, but a very odd place in terms of culture and management style. Also very strange (or non existant) processes.

Great direct team, great restaurant and food supplies on site!
Really out of town (which I liked) so not suited for everyone.
Pros
great pension, great insights team
Cons
poor job security, management system shakey

Client Services Associate (Current Employee) –  Kingswood with Burgh Heath2 May 2019
Answering inbound calls from customers, occasionally letter writing and sending digital messages and investigating client queries. I learnt a great deal about Data Protection, Anti Money Laundering and the administration of funds and other types of investments. The most enjoyable part of the job was the upskilling, the training was thorough and enjoyable. The managers in my team were very supportive, always approached any issues and looked to resolve them.

The hardest part of the job was the culture of client services, very much micro managed and progression away from phones team was not promoted or aided.
Pros
great work benifiits and overtime
Cons
micro managing

Fidelity is a great company to work for where you are rewarded for your efforts.

They need to work on communication between teams and people would be surprised about how antiquated their systems are and the sheer number of technology people to try and keep the systems up and running.

Company culture is good, and the people I worked with on a daily basis were great.

Very little flexibility - No job advancement - Salary gets stagnant once you hit ceiling in department

A great company going through enormous change
Associate Director - Investment Statistics (Former Employee) –  Hildenborough, Kent22 February 2018
Having spent 23 years working for Fidelity International up until my redundancy in July last year, I have witnessed huge change from what was a relatively small outfit when I started in the back office reconciliations team in 1994.
I have worked with some extremely talented people over the years and had the opportunity to take on a variety of roles and to manage and mentor good people,
Recent years have been challenging for Fidelity and the industry at large, but I have learned that change is not to be feared but embraced as it is inevitable and indeed necessary for survival.
I enjoyed building relationships with internal and external stakeholders and the people management side was as rewarding as it was tough.
All in all a great company that afforded me a decent career, the opportunity to travel and some long and lasting friendships.
Pros
Subsidised canteen, onsite showers
Cons
Roles moved to Dublin!
