A typical day would be preparing for the evening or any events such as wedding or conferences during the day. I've learned to work independently well, using initiative to get work done faster and to a high standard. Management take an "on board" role, they are always wanting to help and help fix issues. The co-workers are usually all young, so its great - more... if you've just come out of studying. The hardest part of the job was working with stubborn chefs. The most enjoyable part is serving customers and the managers teaching you more advanced things other than the basic waiting staff requirements. - less
