A typical day Essential would start with me doing a shop walk , making a list of jobs that need to be done that day, making sure everything is looking presentable for the start of the day. Allocating jobs to other staff members,serving customers, restocking jewellery, marking off deliveries.
I have learned a lot over the four years I have worked at Essential, from delivering excellent customer service, planning displays for the silver cabinets and shop windows. Training other members of staff on customer service, merchandising and displays.
As the manager of the store, I have deputy manager to help run the store, making sure we are hitting daily and weekly targets. As a team we create an fun and welcoming atmosphere for customers and all staff members. The most enjoyable part of my job is creating new and interesting displays and serving customers making sure they are happy with their purchase.
