A colleague once likened Esland to Game of Thrones. One minute you are at the top doing everything right, next minute you are gone and nobody sees or hears from you again!
Opportunity for career development but you will always be on edge, afraid to make a mistake. Friendships and relationships higher up make it hard for staff to be treated fairly.
Plus side, good money and perks. The staff who work with the kids are amazing and you will laugh a lot and make a difference.
Owners are genuine people who do not ever see how truly unhappy some of their employees are.
Pros
Good perks and rewards
Cons
Instability of staff teams in all homes

Esland specialise in looking after children and young people with complex needs Esland provide in house training to cover the needs of the young people, sufficient debriefs and supervisions carried out to support staff following incidents although you may need to remind your manager that your supervision is booked in๐Ÿ˜

Esland is a supportive company that have high standards and values always striving for the best outcomes for all young people, your hard work will not go unnoticed I can't lie it's not always easy, you must be open minded and expect to be challenged but with this you will be rewarded, we do some long shifts but it's we'll worth it! If you want to feel part of a team and achieve the best for the children and young people we care for.
Pros
Rewarding, great pay
Cons
Long Hours, Challenging

Esland is a relaxed and family built company giving it a very inclusive feel, everyone is treated equally and are given opportunities as and when they arise. Management are supportive of their staff and are always happy to help. Esland are very flexible when it comes to health appointments, personal appointments, etc. I would recommend Esland to anyone who is looking for a challenge as even though it is not always an easy job it is always rewarding.

We also receive perks via Perkbox which gives staff members discounts at top retailers, restaurant chains, gyms, opticians, etc. We also receive health benefits through Sovereign health care, this may include therapy sessions, minor surgeries and optical needs.
Pros
Perkbox, flexibility

RCP (Current Employee) –  Hertfordshire10 September 2017
The company specialise in looking after children and young people with complex needs however they provide and facilitate little opportunities that fully allow their staffing to do this. They do facilitate some in house training to cover some of the needs of the young people but certainly does not give in depth knowledge to fully work with 'complex' needs and rarely appropriate debriefs and supervisions carried out to support staff following incidents.

Fast growing company with plenty of new homes frequently being opened so always opportunities to work your way up to senior and manager roles.

Esland deals with challenging young people with high staffing ratios. Working with them has been rewarding and enjoyable on the whole. Esland is a large resource that has been growing quickly over the past 2 years.
