I worked as a Team Facilitator for a few years. My time was spent covering shifts and dealing with staffing issues rather than making a difference to the service users or supporting staff to do the same.
There was no work life balance due to the oncall system, frequent short notice shift cover including sleepovers, and working well in excess of my - more... contracted hours without pay. TOIL could be taken for OT but there was never time to take it. I would often get calls from management colleagues or my line manager about work issues on my personal mobile In the evenings and weekend.
