Data Administrator (Current Employee) –  Edinburgh16 January 2019
It is a stale place to work with them sucking the benefits out of the job. Not enjoyable at all. Would not recommend to anyone. This is based on my experience.

avoid as a plaque if you can.
First of all, they buy less profitable projects from other companies in UK along with the staff! and there is nothing you can do about it...if you are sold to Diligenta...Yes you can leave....of course...
The salary is very low with very minimal pay rise every year which does not count if you add inflation...if you were not lucky enough to be permanently employed by the company that Diligenta have just bought, remember you will be paid a significant less for the same work. That means two people processing the same work with the same quality paid differently ( how motivating is that???) actually very frustrating and unfair!!!
You will soon find out that you just became a number as Diligenta does not recognize you as a human being - with needs and problems you might have. As long as their numbers and stats are OK you are just OK. The worst company on the planet...its like cancer taking over other companies...giving you minimum (your salary),,,for maximum..
Diligenta mistaken Asia and Europe.
Pros
none
Cons
none progress, unfair salary, zero stimulants

Poor training, equipment and very regimented, compared to other Contact centres
Customer Service Advisor (Former Employee) –  Peterborough, Cambridgeshire6 October 2018
Poor training - trainers young, eager, but far too casual and too accepting of poor behaviour. Training manuals far too wordy, with spelling errors, out of date information in places ( trainer told us that) and the most boring training ever experienced. Management friendly on recruitment, but Sergeant Major like, when out of training and taking calls - far too controlling. Toilet break time allowed and timed is too short, for distance from desk to toilets and back. Impractical! Free lunch allowance no longer exists.
All my training group left within first couple of months. There are better places to work out there.
Pros
Decent salary
Cons
Management style and poor training

Technical Support and Customer Relations (Current Employee) –  Peterborough6 September 2018
The training is too short, 2 weeks of classroom training and a few hours on a shared computer, no experience on the actual live systems before taking calls.
Racism and sexism is rife, management is often the worst bullies, humiliating and degrading colleagues.
Call assessment feedback is nearly always given in public.
Pros
weekends off
Cons
Long hours

Lots of opportunity to develop and grow
Anonymous (Current Employee) –  Anonymous13 June 2018
If you are prepared to work hard and be flexible there are lots of opportunities to learn new skills and get involved in different work. Like anywhere it has its faults but I can think of worse places to work.
Pros
Great people, lots of opportunities to learn new skills
Cons
long hours

General call centre environment with a lot to learn
Customer care advisor (Current Employee) –  Liverpool16 April 2018
My position at the moment is to mainly provide customers currently going through their retirement journey, guidance on their desired options, running through the risks and considerations of the options they wish to take and provided 'food for thought' on other details the customer may have over looked. It is satisfying to provide assistance to the customer on a subject they may know little about and being able to educate them more.
Due to this being mainly a scripted journey however most of the time and due to that, the work can get somewhat repetitive.
I also like the capability now, due to time and experience at the company, to provide assistance to other employees on a matter they find challenging and if available provide with a simple solution so they will remember for future reference.
Pros
Flexible working hours, very pleasant staff members.
Cons
Repetitive duties, can be restrictive on desired holidays

Customer Service Advisor (Former Employee) –  Liverpool, Merseyside27 February 2018
Micromanagement is rampant and people always trying to catch you out for stupid things like they want to rub it in your face, very oppressive work environment full of suck ups and teachers pets working here was a massive mistake and leaving was such a relief.

Joined Diligenta under TUPE laws after 22 years working for Friends Provident. Preferred FP - more scope for progression, better benefits, and a stronger management team.

I have thoroughly enjoyed working at Diligenta. The work has always been there to keep you busy and there are opportunities to progress however, due to my knowledge on annuities I was always heldback from learning other areas.

Potential to develop prevented by business restructure
Technical Support (2nd line) (Current Employee) –  Dorking, Surrey14 November 2017
Resolving website related issues for policy holders, employers and Financial Advisers - either via telephone or email.
I learned more about the workings of websites, than previously known. Product training was not made available.
Management structure not always easy to identify, particularly when trying to chase up cross-departmental issues.
Little to no recognition for 'going the extra mile'. Any positive feedback was rare - from either colleagues helped or recognised by management. Lucky to get a 'thank you'. No feedback sent to management to acknowledge the extra work done - or ad-hoc training given.
Obtaining help from other departments was hit & miss. No preferential help given when system issues occurred (from 3rd line support) - given that we were 2nd line and therefore were supporting 1st line as well.
I enjoyed resolving issues and problems and turning around sceptical and angry people, with the work that I was able to do.
Pros
Parking
Cons
Overtime not paid. Lack of positive feed back significant in not gaining a bonus

That's all that can be said. No advancement opportunities or further learning offered, but holiday is good and sick pay is provided.

Training inadequate
Customer Service Advisor (Full-time) (Former Employee) –  Salisbury, Wiltshire16 September 2017
Diligenta is a nice place to work but the training felt inadequate, there were only a few staff members who were absolutely confident in what they were doing, even mentors had to keep checking they were doing things right. Also rules were constantly changing and it was difficult to keep up and I didn't feel confident when dealing with peoples money.

Job is okay, culture is less than desired
Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) –  Bristol, Bristol12 September 2017
The job itself is not so bad, you do get your good & bad days. Culture however is awful, favouritism is rife & there is rarely a chance to progress. You try to work your way up, gain more skills & try to apply for higher positions, to only be shot down.
Pros
Weekends & bank holidays off
Cons
Culture & management

Friendly place to work
XX (Current Employee) –  Salisbury9 August 2017
I was initially sceptical about accepting a job here following bad reviews etc. But In fact I'm really glad I did, loving the work and the people. It is early days but following previous experiences with similar companies in Salisbury and surrounding areas the working environment is great, great people, training has also been good. Also plus point is management that take time to get to know you.

Good team ethos. However every day is the same which makes the job sometimes very difficult. The most enjoyable part of the job is there is good amounts of training and support
