Get it in writing that you will work no more than thirty seven hours a week. If you do work over again make sure you get it in writing you will be paid overtime for the extra thirty seven hours you WILL work in that week. You need to be thick skinned, roll with the psychological bullying and be prepared to flog yourself into the ground.

Organisational culture is run by The Operations manager, who keeps dreaming up new unachievable targets for his area managers and teams. Then berates them when targets are not achieved. He particularly enjoys this part of his job because he loves bullying. He has the whole system tied round his little finger and even the managing director is his puppet. He also has an number of spies looking out for his back at every level within the company.

Devon Norse pay for the DBS check. An agreement is signed stating that if an employee leaves within 6 months the cost of the DBS is deducted from the final pay package.
