I work 6 and a half hour shifts in the Newcastle store and get half hour break but I work on menswear so it takes 5 mins to get up to the lockers 10 mins to go get dinner and 10 mins to get back leaving only 5 mins to eat and be back on the shop floor. I would much prefer to work a 7 hour shift for a 1 hour break
Hours get moved around and only suit the in crowd.
Not great: if part -time, they spread your shifts accross the entire week with only tiny 4 hour shifts.
If full-time, you're looking at a 9 hour day.
Its all about them, not you! Very bully type management, load of knobs full of themselves. Anything you say/suggest is forgotten in 5 minutes!
The hours I worked were short, it was 4 hour shifts

For me they were good because I had set times to be in and did not work on a rota. I can't comment for the employees on a rota basis.

I worked in Debhams Oxford Street Branch last year in the Resturant . The hours that i worked was set hours and days . Some times they would change your day off to suit the buisness . It was ok .
Start and end times are decent, but the shifts are constantly being changed last minute and management always forgets to consider how busy it will be during sales.
Great! pretty flexible

They aren't too bad, depending what department you work in. For example if you work shop floor you will work between 9 and 6. Warehouse staff work between 6 and 3.
