Joke of an company avoid at any cost
Avoid at any cost better be homeless than working for this parody firm.

Managers are bunch of joke trying to scam you in any possible way for example promising late payment, pay for extra routes, pay for bonuses.

Theres new rules every single days they will say that Amazon requires it but its an one big lie. Dont sign anything before u read it.

Easy start promising u everything once u start so hard to communicate thats the only company that do whatever it wants in Amazon.

Avoid at any cost

Lots of hidden cost, Avoid!!
Avoid like the plague.

Putting the facts based on working 5 days per week.

£575 per week income

£100 Fuel Cost estimated per week. You get 0.18p per mile back.

£220 Van Rental per week

£50 Deposit per week

Payroll Charge £15 per week

No ownership who pays for bulbs, blue dye, oil etc...

Taking home 315 and still have to take your own tax and national insurance contributions. You will working virtually self employed and having to fork out your own holidays pay on top of this.

Damages to the van even petty little ones get included. Which they will take out from your final 4 weeks money. Don't get paid until the 5th week when starting.

Daily drop rate was supposed to be 120 and whilst training 80.

Add 10% of drops due to multi drops which would add another 15 drops to the 120. Dependent on how the route is you could be working 9, 10 hours.

Eventually drop rate get increased and you could end up doing 170 drops per day.

The rate they expecting you to perform is 2 mins per drop.

You end working for less than minimum wage.

Just giving heads up if your looking into the van driving job.

The Worst
Constant non-stop work till you have blisters and bruises LITERALLY. The gloves they give you are too thin so expect some burns occasionally.

If one person doesn't work fast enough then prepare for unpaid overtime

.

They value the brought in contract workers over their own staff.

Once had a Workplace Health inspection to see if standards were good for staff - they finally turned the heating up in the middle of Winter - shame they lowered it when they left though. As long as the snobby office workers are okay I suppose.

Bullies at work, they are mean in all languages - they'll say your name, look at you and swear at you in their language (you learn those words eventually) and in English. They will force you to work harder so they can do less but they are brought in contract workers and since management love them so much - they can do whatever. Line leaders don't care, went to HR about being bullied and got a letter in the post to say not to go to them again, in the future only go to the Line Leader.

Also went through troubling times that meant hospital appointments. 9/10 times I attempted to contact the office the phone would ring out. When I finally got through to one person. They had no idea who I was, what department I was talking about and didn't care.

Also had trouble getting paid properly (is it hard to get minimum wage right...really), payroll won't acknowledge emails.

Any person working at DCS who doesn't do the factory work aka THE HEAVIEST AND HARDEST WORKLOAD that the others could not even comprehend in their egotistical tiny brains... should

Not the best
The job was fine no issue untill Foreman thinks he can go round shouting, screaming and being abusive. You inform dcs and they do nothing for you and hang you out to dry. Evidently don't care about the people that do the job. I previously worked for someone over 5 years and never experienced anything like this. Pretty disgusting.

Avoid working here if you can, company can’t be trusted
Probably the worst company I have ever worked for, they pay weekly but you have to wait 5 weeks before you receive your first payment then they charge you £15 to send your payslip, they charge you £220 to use their vans per week plus you have to pay £50 a week for insurance, plus you are deducted fuel costs from your wages, you will be lucky to clear £200 per week

Worst Agency
Do not work for this agency. They send you on jobs telling you that is few weeks work, which only last few days; you have to deal with bullying and racism on sites. The Company won't give you work just to tell you that you don't know how to do your job. They don't provide materials needed to complete the job.
Stay well away from this agency.

Basically DCS decided to join Norwich in October for the Christmas period, we signed a contract, like you do, only to sign a contract again a couple of weeks later as we were told by the DSP at the time that he lost the papers, as you do, you trust and sign your life away. Boy, should we have checked those papers as they were only a Christmas period contract (found out after we got laid off in January) We were promised £800 a week, rental of vans would cost £220 a week. Plus £50 deposit a week in case you damaged the van. My money was never a problem to get until they laid us off and every week I would have to be calling for my money which was a fight to get and really did cause some depression. We then learnt from another company that amazon were paying us £150 for the 6th day working over the Christmas period. (Funny that DCS never told us this) Never ever did we get the bonuses that we were promised. No DCS kept that. I’m guessing I missed out on a lot of money that DCS kept from us. There was a new DSP who didn’t even get trained properly, the poor guy had to learn everything by himself. Thrown straight into the deep end and was bullied daily from another manger in DCS. He was promised a company car, which he never got. By the scores we were the best DCS around but you decided to take us out and keep open one of the worst performing depos. Doesn’t make sense. You’re made to work long hours, in the Christmas period this is expected, but not to the point that you’re out from, 8 am until midnight in one case. You do have to go and help others that are struggling if you want - more...

Continuous Local contracts
I have done massive jobs for DCS Recruitment in South-End-on-Sea, Hastings and Greenwich projects, also in their North Acton London with good faith.

Working with them gave me a great hope of pushing my career further ahead

My experience in South-end-Sea, gave me a real self motivation and managerial experience. I so rely on their strategic management which makes it very event to work positively DCS.

Their work culture is so positive that, even when your contract is run-out, they will still find other functions to keep you on.

I have not had regret working with DCS.
Pros
When greater is achieved, free lunch is provided
Cons
When work is pressing, longer hours are alloed

Don’t work for this company
Just a bunch of cowboys operating as a recruitment agency. Sacked me for an alleged accident that never happened on a site. Told me I was to be paid from when I got the yard but then after I look at my wages for the week I was down. I quizzed the agency only to be told I wouldn’t be paid until I reached site. If your a scaffolder trust me don’t work for this company
