Stressful environment with incapable managers.
Rather not say (Current Employee) –  Rather not say19 September 2019
Advancement does not depend on your skill set it comes down to if your face fits which is disappointing and has a negative impact on the team.

Pay is good.

Interesting work place
Performing coach (Former Employee) –  Birmingham17 September 2019
Dhl warehouse, where I worked, iis a place where all it matters are the numbers not the people.
The managers are not fully prepared for the jobs they run. They should give more chances for advance. No

Operative worker (Former Employee) –  Rushden, Northamptonshire15 September 2019
Most there are ok , the agency supervisor on MGH department is far too young , she needs to respect other people and learn some basic manners .apart from that it's a decent place to work .

In my time at the Solihull plant i have been fortunate that i have been able to attend multiple training courses in Health & Safety quality and HR, this has given me the scope to drive my career over the years and drive a change in to the culture on plant.

Jaguar Land Rover Communications Officer (Current Employee) –  West Midlands10 September 2019
Overall nice people, could use some more diversity. I work with the senior team and their attitudes can be hit or miss however everybody else is really warm and welcoming. Great initiatives available and okay career progression routes. More support should be given to functions.
Pros
Flexible working, retail discounts, car allowance, holiday entitlement and possibility to buy more
Cons
A bit old fashioned and not as diverse as you may expect to see, leadership attributes don't always work for the true leaders

Fast Paced Environment
First Line Manager (Current Employee) –  Solihull, West Midlands22 August 2019
Working here on the JLR contract is a very fast paced environment, working under pressure to ensure that all parts are delivered on time, every time. Progression opportunities is absolutely fantastic not just on site but across the DHL network, I myself progressed 2 levels in 5 years and there has been opportunities around the business to progress further within that time. It's a very testing environment to work in, however, if you stick it out it's very enjoyable and it is a brilliant business to work for.

Run by a bunch of charlatans
Warehouse Operative (Former Employee) –  Darlington, Durham12 August 2019
Management seem to only be interested in deceiving the customer to hide how bad the service they deliver is. They are far more concerned with someone clocking in 1 minute late than the competency and work ethic of their employees. Horrible place to work.

You get out what you put in, if you’re willing to put the effort in then you’ll get the rewards. Great company for me personally, others will say different I guess a bit like marmite.

BIW Internal Planner (Former Employee) –  Solihull27 February 2019
Bullying was rife, not many chances for advancement. High staff turnover. A place where nepotism existed through and through. Not a place for the faint hearted.
