Not any more. We used to have proper paid training, renewed annually or as required / requested. Since being taken over by Cygnet, as one of the many cost cutting measures, with the exception of physical intervention training, it is now all online, of poor quality, you do it alone and usually in short periods during normal working hours when you get a spare moment. Staff new to care often don't have the skills / knowledge to be properly effective in their role as a result.
