Poor all round
Potential to be a good place to work. Global operation center in Stockton is a new thing, but let down by god awful management and a culture of jobs for friends and those that suck up.
Team leader of infrastructure in the global operation center is arguably the most technically challenged, incompetent person you will ever meet. If it wasn’t for his ability to suck up, he wouldn’t even have s job. It’s pathetic. The whole management structure in this area is just plain clueless and wrong. Until this changes, nothing else will.
For the few good people that know what they are doing and skilled to do the role, these people are let down by management and the type of work that the management want to bring in. Nothing challenging, only simple things... silly really. Jobs are advertised that are borderline lies and not what the role will entail, but if you question this then you are seen as causing problems. Interviews by someone who isn’t technically competent to interview often just lead to poor appointments or in worst case scenarios, interviewing friends... how is that not a conflict of interests.
Atmosphere in the office is a bit poor as the amount of fed up people far outweighs the happy ones. People leaving in droves, and this will continue whilst the shambolic management structure remains as it is. If it doesn’t benefit them, they aren’t interested.
Free cups of tea/coffee. Some really good people
Management is dreadful. Team leader is a joke
