Typical day at work is motivating residence to get into the gym for a workout for either resistance weights, circuit training, boxing pad work, or simply attending for a calming cycle or stretches.
I learnt how to adapt to individuals needs both the approach and the workout program designed. With minimal equipment (few free weights, two machines and a cycle machine) in a small room i have also learnt to improvise and create fun and specific exercises to target the whole body. The hardest part of the job is most probably motivating individuals to attend because allot are under the influence of either alcohol or drugs. The best part and definitely most enjoyable is when individuals get into the gym they begin to enjoy it, the more they attend the more it becomes a habit and some have even used it to help them replace their old habits.
