Very fast paced and stressful job, but fun if you are working with the right people. Company cares about employees and pay is excellent. Job and Home life balance is minimal though - lots of extra shifts.

Working in a team to get through busy periods of the day. Communication is key for this role with a high level of customer service.
Learning all the drinks can be challenging to new employees due to the amount of drinks that are offered.

If your looking for a part-time or full-time job, Costa is fantastic place to work. The environment is always freindly even under the tough conditions of a busy shop. Wages are good, with a huge host of other fantastic benefits. Shift patterns tend to vary. You'll absolutely love it.

I've worked for Costa for roughly 8 years, in 3 different stores.
Pros
Freindly environment, great benefits, as many free coffees on shift as you can drink.
Cons
Vary shift patterns, very busy shops, speedy work required.

The hardest part of the job was having to work alone when it was busy as the one i worked in i worked alone.
I mostly enjoyed meeting new people whilst working.
Pros
Free drinks on shift and being able to interact with new and different people
Cons
Rude customers ordering their drinks to late before their train.

overall a decent job with good management and development. not many opportunities beyond store manager. depending on store, can be quite stressful. not given the credit you deserve from customers, but this is expected in retail. do not get paid enough, especially as a supervisor, for the jobs you do, but this is balanced by store incentives and opportunities.
Pros
fun job
Cons
un-sociable hours

None stop service from start to finish.
I gained skills within making a selection of styles within coffee making.

Management was unprofessional.

Co workers were also unprofessional.

The hardest part was working twice as hard for the team which didn't work.

The most enjoyable part was indeed the coffee

Very busy company to work for, which has good benefits. I have learned many things while working here, which leads me towards management duties, and learning the role. Staff are decent, but it's hard to please everyone, so you just get on with your job. most enjoyable part of my job is learning to progress.
