Absolutely Terrible
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Wisbech19 October 2018
A typical day involved being expected to be an octopus and be able to serve customers, answer phone calls, make outgoing calls, reply to emails, perform administrative tasks and deal with complaints all at the same time. While the Office Manager was lovely and brilliant at her job, the GM had no idea about the company, just barking orders and not providing support and then comes out shouting "Why are we in the red?!" When they just sit in their little office with their blinds closed the whole time. Minimal training is provided. The GM expects you to always tell the customer what they want to hear and actually expected you to be OK with customers verbally abusing you over the phone. There is no level of decent management or training, as the manager their-self lacks training and knowledge in the company. They do not appreciate their staff, they will lead you on for weeks and give you more and more responsibilities. Permanent staff are paid the same rate regardless of their time in the company and temps will come in getting the exact same pay. There was numerous issues between staff and it was fine for others to gang up on one member of staff resulting in her being fired, the older men working there are allowed to harass clients over the phone and make them feel uncomfortable with no consequences, however should you tell a customer that their language is not acceptable and should they carry on you won't serve/speak with them, you will lose your job. Copart is a joke. The company itself goes on about valuing its employees; all it cares about is its overturn and making its stock  more... shares larger. DO NOT TAKE A JOB HERE.  less

Customer Service Representative (Temp Contract) (Former Employee) –  Wisbech8 September 2018
Working around friendly and enthusiastic people, a typical day in the Copart office can teach you a lot, especially helping you develop your ability to multi task as well as customer service skills. The most enjoyable part of the job is definitely customer satisfaction

No room to move
CSR (Former Employee) –  Westbury, Wiltshire25 September 2017
One you're at Copart you will have no room to move. They don't let you advance and keep you on minimum wage. Very high employee turn over rate. You won't be there long as management are only in it for themselves.
Pros
Fuel
Cons
Management, low pay, high staff turnover

Busy open work place
Customer Service Advisor (Current Employee) –  Sandwich, Kent22 May 2017
Take money, serve customers. Make calls arranging collections. Answer calls sorting problems. Learned not everybody has the same sense of urgency to solving some ones problems. Management are open and friendly. The culture is work "The customer is king". Work hard. The hardest part Is taking the abuse and not losing ones temper and not to be rude back. The most enjoyable part is serving 95% of the customers.
Pros
mon-fri
Cons
the abuse at times

Worst management ever had in any job!
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Wolverhampton26 August 2016
The job in itself was great,it was the management who ruin it. . Management don't look after staff, have no people skills and won't help you. high staff turnover, very low pay. They make you stay over your contracted hours and won't let you go home at night, won't replace staff when leave, workloads are too high for staff ratio. General negative attitude never any praise. Deceptive of the term 'flexi hours' are told only flexed up to full time during busy periods, this yard is busy all year round, so are permanently flexed up, so should advertise vacancies as full time not flexi. You get shouted at and bawled at across the office in front of customers by office management which is very unprofessional, spoken down to and treated like children.
Pros
faced paced so day goes fast.
Cons
Management attitude towards staff

Great company to work for. I have learnt lots of different aspects of the business. Management are understanding. Colleagues are supportive. Stressful especially during the winter months when it is more demandingly busy. Taking responsibility for my work.
