Bit above factory workers' average
Production Operator (Former Employee) –  Hamble, Hampshire31 January 2019
Work is not hard but can get boring over time. 4 breaks, 3 is payed. Machinery are quite new so the work speed is quite high. Salary is around 17k a year. Management is average, but problem solving takes time. Workers are from all over the world, which is a cool thing.
Pros
Free tea and coffee, free and secured parking, easy work, fair payment
Cons
High targets, noisy enviroment, road to workplace was not designed for this kind of traffic

Technical Operator (Former Employee) –  Southampton12 November 2018
12 hour shifts normally running short staffed, having to do multiple jobs to cover shortness of staff and being on your feet for most of the shift.
Management lacked understanding of the shop floor process.
Good team work with most people willing to help others.
Great shift for helpfulness and sense of humor.
Pros
good team work, supporting each other
Cons
long hours

Customer Service Advisor (Former Employee) –  Hampshire8 November 2018
Management are poor at their role need to have a more structure and review managements performance.
Great pay but no career progression.
Friendly colleges but training could be more efficient and organised, for a big companie there a few areas that needs looking at especially keeping staff on, I saw a lot of staff come and go and complaining about poor management.
Pros
Good pay
Cons

Production Operative (Current Employee) –  Hamble-le-Rice, Hampshire30 September 2018
lazy teamleaders who spend most of their working day in canteen whilst operators pick up their work , operators constantly getting the blame for not hitting target when machines go down no tech op in room to fix it. mangement need to look more at their teamleaders rather than always blaming workforce, never known a company so shabbly run no consistancy .the hardest part of the job is not being listened too,the most enjoyable part is other operators keeping each others spirits up during the 12 hour shifts.
Pros
free drinks plenty of parking
Cons
bad mangement

Horrible place to work
Distributor (Former Employee) –  Hampshire9 July 2018
Most of the staff are friendly and fun to work with (couple of exceptions of course), but management is seriously lacking people skills and some of the management is very rude and impossible to work with. Job itself is mind numbingly boring. Zero chances of progressing. Can't recommend this to anyone.

Strange place to work
Production operator (Current Employee) –  England30 June 2018
Great people, trying hard management, hard volume focus environment that hunts for bad quality, loud noisy and dry air, legs can hurt, tasks are repetitive while peeps need to stay focused all the time, do not trust yourself or others with your tasks, read all that you do twice over. OEE systems allow constant monitoring of workflow and workers, supposedly lots of free time with 4 on 4 off system but shift lasts for 12 hours a day so if one decides to do any overtime, private life is gone.
Pros
4 days off
Cons
long hours standing

Great benefits but a bit mind numbing at times as it is an on going production job which is a good place to balance out your life due to being 4 days on and 4 days off

Gradually going downhill.
Technical Operator (Current Employee) –  Hamble-le-Rice, Hampshire30 July 2017
A once superb company to work for that lately appears to have lost its direction. An exodus of experience has left the company looking like a headless chicken in many areas. Whilst this may not be the case on a global scale it certainly appears to be on the UK sites.

A no blame culture ensures those who make the same mistakes again and again suffer no consequence while everyone is treated as if they were responsible.

A failing infrastructure especially when it comes to aging equipment and poor IT leads to frustration in the workplace.
Pros
Free drinks, pension, parking, canteens.
Cons
Lack of field expertise (IT, engineering etc).

Production Manager , left due to redundancy (Former Employee) –  Hamble-le-Rice, Hampshire10 February 2017
Never a dull moment with every day being different.
I had worked for Coopervision for only 2 years and there was never a day went by when you didntt learn something new.
The management team are very good and work well together.
There is a very diverse work force from all over Europe and beyond.
The hardest part of the job can be overcoming the unforseen ie equipment break downs but that can also be an enjoyable part as it give me great satisfaction to overcome the unforseen.
The most enjoyable part is managing a team of staff and attending to all their needs sometimes yo become an agony uncle but just having their tust is great
Pros
None come to mind
Cons
None come to mind
