-Typical days are very busy. Starting early from 7am, the volume of work is constant all day. Engaging with multiple customers throughout the world, investigating and fixing complex backup issues

-Most training is on the job through experience. The product is constantly evolving. Learning is specific to your own support area (Server, Media Management, Client, Unix/DB, Messaging)

-Management are proactive and approachable. They reward hard work.

-The workplace culture is very stats driven. As a support centre supervisors push to reduce the time to close cases and the increase the closure rate.

-Learning the product itself is the hardest part of the job. The documentation available online does not go in depth on how the product works. You need to build relationships with colleagues and actively do your own research to acquire knowledge.

-Positive customer feedback is the most rewarding part of the job. You often spend hours helping fix a technical issue. Getting great feedback from the end customer makes it worthwhile.
Pros
Excellent Salary
Cons
Early start and long days

Sucks, stay away from this place. They live on old laurels. New cloud companies are beating them and they will likely not survive.

The culture is bad and everyone is leaving.

The company has completely changed. Some changes are good and needed, but other changes are being made without consideration for existing personnel and they have created an atmosphere of low morale and people worried that their jobs are not safe.

经理管理很人性化
同事之间关系融洽

产品涉及的领域很广泛,工作对个人的技术提升很有帮助。

工作量通常会比较大但是下班后基本上不用再操心工作上的事情。

I don't recommend working at Commvault. Company is losing its position in the market, management team doesn't care about team member commission. Lead generation team manager is not honest about incoming changes. Lead generation team manager ideas doesnt allow any team member to bring new ideas to the team. He sees him self as only the one who unde in this world

As an intern you learn skills needed for job, professionally grow, and have time to unwind with other interns in the 4 game rooms. Overall a great internship program.

Pros:
- Nice campus building with outdoor walking track, comfy reception couches, slide between 3rd and 4th floor is cool.

- Decent low-cost cafeteria with good burgers and onion rings.

- Onsite gym for a fee is a nice perk.

- Company-provided mobile phone either iPhone or Samsung with either AT&T or Verizon.

- Lots of office spaces owing to recent departures and rifs.

- Only slightly below industry average pay and stock-based bonuses - price dropped when Elliott Management sold off all their shares making stock bonus less valuable (google: "Elliott Management Letter to Board").

- Super dynamic work environment requires only basic skills for most jobs and rarely require specialization in a field to be hired.

- Once in, if you know how to play the game, by either looking good in front of upper management or staying under the radar, then you’re all set.

- Historically, hard to get fired for incompetence or doing little/no work.

- New executive management is in place recently and that could drive changes over the long-term, but most of the middle management are way past their expiration dates.

Cons:

- 401k matching is minimal at 1% , vested over time.

- Switched to health plans to Optum and that only provides high premiums or deductibles with lower coverage.

- Extremely negative and poisonous culture with very low morale owing to the weekly RIFs and resignations leaving either "show-off-to-upper-management" mode or "hide-and-collect-pay-check" mode.

- Prior payouts of big long-term RSUs bonuses and non-merit annual raises makes up the payroll .

The leading data management and backup platform in the industry. Huge potential to grow market share and support organisations with their move to cloud, data governance and security projects. The product isn't the issue.

Some of the industry's greatest developers and engineers. And some amazing people work there.

Used to be a great place, we'll have to wait and see how this turns up under the hands of new leadership as well as changes to strategy including the acquisition of Hedvig

The work environment and culture was strange. The people that have worked there forever did not like new people coming in to try and shake things up. They were stuck in their old ways which ultimately led to my decision to leave.
