Bad management, no support, no training, no recognition for commitment.

If you eant a lot of stress join them. I left them witjin 1 month. The management did not bothered. That shows lack of respect for employees and the bank.

B Team Manager (Current Employee) –  Glasgow26 June 2018
Great place to work but their salary scale are very poor
To move internally you only receive a 5% pay increase and that puts a lot of people off
There is also very little progression

Business Associate (Former Employee) –  Head Office Glasgow5 February 2018
Working in a department you would normally work 9-5. Work would be allocated to staff and we worked to specific Service Level Agreements to ensure all work completed within times specified. You do gain a wide knowledge of systems and products. Management varies there are good team leaders and not so good ones who are not people orientated. Hardest part of the job was developing your career. If you were on the Graduate programme of perceived as a higher performer you get lots of opportunities . Most enjoyable part of the job was the staff
Pros
pension, staff benefits
Cons
limited career development

Left a lot to be desired
Customer service officer (Former Employee) –  Yorkshire26 December 2017
Joined under the impression that job and salary advancement was highly achievable, this however, was not the case. Manager was emotionally unstable with staff, & created a very toxic, competitive enenvironment. Targets are too high, and systems are VERY out of date. Be prepared to try to sell people credit cards and mortgages who don't need or don't want them.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time and career at the bank, like most financial organisations it was a fast paced environment due to the regulations and schemes that need to be complied with.

Sadly going down hill
Business Manager (Former Employee) –  Glasgow, Glasgow17 July 2017
Used to be a good place to work, but sadly not now. New CEO bringing in sweeping changes but old culture remains which has adverse affect on customer facing roles. Technology and systems are poor & counterproductive. Cliques are rife and annual target / scorecard are so unrealistic and so manipulated that morale (particularly in customer facing roles) is rock bottom. Change is predominately implemented for the benefit of Management, and is not beneficial to employees (and ultimately customers) who (try) to enforce these. Unrealistic increase in workload for some depts but no solutions seem to be in place. Giving feedback to management is worthless as this is never acted upon.
Pros
City Centre locations
Cons
culture

Could do better as an employer
Senior Mortgage Adviser (Former Employee) –  Scotland20 June 2017
As an organisation they were very good at talking the talk about developing staff, rewards, opportunities and work life balance, however when it came to putting this into practice it left a lot to be desired.

Unachievable targets that were increased each year, systems that were not fit for purpose.
Pros
People I worked with
Cons
lack of support from management
